Hello all. I have had DCS for awhile, but never had the time until now to really mess around with it. The last time I used flight sims was back when Janes defense group put out games, for those of you who remember them. Anyway, I have a Logitech extreme pro 3D stick and I am having one hell of time controlling the aircraft. It is almost impossible to do a gun run or drop bombs without the aircraft going all over the place. I have tried the saturation, deadzone, and curvature along with calibration, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone here point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Go to the nearest store and buy a new proper HOTAS

Just kidding. I used to have a Logitech joystick but not the 3D pro. If you can't afford to buy a new one then try to mess around more with deadzones and saturation. Or wait for ED to release an update with some fix.

When I first started with DCS World and A10C I had a Saitek Cyborg stick and soon realized that it wasn't going to cut it, mainly because it didn't have nearly enough programmable buttons. I got an X52 Pro and have been completely satisfied with it. Most everyone will say that Track IR is a must have item as well.

When you calibrate or check the stick in Windows do you notice any jitters in the movement? It may be the you are having issues with the pots in the stick. If it is just a sensitivity issue then deadzones and curves are the best answer.

I would start with a deadzone of between 5-10, for pitch and roll, if it seems jumpy when you are centered. I would also try a curve around 25-30 as a starting point.

There is no set answer, even for two people with the same stick, so you just have to find your own sweet spot.

X52 is a fine entry level joystick. I used it for 1 1/2 years with no problems. I only just recently acquired a TM Warthog HOTAS which is so much better if you're willing to drop $450 + pedals.
