BaD CrC Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Hi everyone, I own 3 licences for BS2, 2 for A10C, 2 for Huey and 1 for CA on the same DCS account. I would like for example to run one dedicated PC as a server and another one as a player when playing MP with my squad mates. But whatever I try, there's only one PC at a time visible from the internet. Is it possible to have several games running on one account with the same IP? If not, any idea about what I should do? Thanks. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Kaiza Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Do you have a separate account for the server? You don't need modules to host. [SIGPIC]http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/2500/a10161sqnsignitureedite.png[/SIGPIC]
HiJack Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 The dedicated server only sees itself when you select LAN on the dropdown menu.
Wrecking Crew Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Is it possible to have several games running on one account with the same IP? Yes. I have three computers that all use the same account. Two are in my house on the LAN and the third, the server, is at my father-in-law's on a really fast Internet connection. I can be logged in on all three simultaneously - the server only runs DCS World, and the two computers in my house have separate purchases of the DCS modules, with their own serial numbers. If I want to, I can use one of the in-house computers as a server and folks can join in from the Internet or locally from the LAN. WC Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
BaD CrC Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 OK. Thanks guys. Need to investigate then why I got only one PC visible outside my LAN. Or maybe I should create another ED account to host a dedicated server. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Buzpilot Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 (edited) I could be wrong, but I think you need different port numbers inside a LAN to find other computers. Probably the 'PORT = 10309' in NetView.lua in 'Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config' Or 'port = 10308,' in 'User/Saved Games/DCS/Config' network.cfg .
