WannaBeGnome Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Hi, i have racing pedals lying in my basement, and i would like to use them as a rudders since i still have not bought one. Is it possible? Will DCS recognize them as rudders? If not, is possible to set it up?
tintifaxl Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Generally speaking, the pedals should not work as brake and gas on the racing pedals are 2 axes, a rudder has only one, that is centered. But as it costs nothing just pull them out of the basement and give it a try ;) Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
WannaBeGnome Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Problem is, that they are not USB. If somebody tells that it works, i will buy reduction.
Ride Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Yes they do work. I used to use my G27 pedals as rudder until i got my combat pedals. If you push with 1 foot you just need to remember to let off with the other or the 2 axis will be fighting against each other. Check the 3rd post down in this thread for setup. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80457
DayGlow Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I spent a few years using my race pedals as rudder before investing in real rudder pedals. Just make sure you configure them as a single axis. Should be an option in the game controller panel. "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11
Boltz Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I had £20 TM race pedals lying around and I used them for a year before getting combat pedals. Flight Sim recognised them as a single axis. The cheaper ones just seem to use a single axis. Worked fine for me. A-10C Cockpit Build Thread My YouTube Channel
