ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 18, 2013 ED Team Posted July 18, 2013 I used a small screws to mount one of my bodnar boards once with no problems, although at the moment they are hanging randomly from wires after a pit rework lol Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Grommet67 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Hi Scarecrow, I have a Bu0836x board and mounted it by enlarging the 4 mounting holes to 3mm and using the finer thread motherboard mounts on a piece of PVC. Worked fine.
zaelu Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I used poxipol :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
Scarecrow Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 Condoms....highly reccomended when mounting anything new. I can't, I feel its reduces sensitivity (I need maximum sensitivity for hot pick ups) and it ruins the spontaneity of the whole thing;) Now for super cereal, nobody has come across this problem before? So the rest of you just shove this thing in a box, devil may care, and never worry about it slipping and sliding around in there? I need this thing to be portable so I can just whip it out at lan parties and impress people with its professional look. P.S. At no point in this post am I referring to my genitalia, even though it may sound that way:P

zaelu Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 poxipol is a A+B type glue... I thought it is international :). Also you may use a plastic glue gun. you can see it here in action. under my BU0836 you can see a bit at the corner holes. But a lot of it can be seen at the wires that come out the back of my G940 base. Scarecrow Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 Think I might just go with widening the screw holes a tad, that'll be safe enough won't it? Just go really slow with a file until I can get a screw through it? That's some damn nice work there Zaelu, I'm modding my G940 throttle in this project, I like your solution to the problem and the addition off the trims on the throttle too. If only Logitech had taken the time to ask a flight simmer they would have realised how utterly useless it was to have trims on the stick base:doh:
Grommet67 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) How did you enlarge them, drill them out? I just used a hand held battery drill with a 3mm bit and ran it through each hole. There is nothing on the back of the board near the holes. The drill wont take off much of the material, just be careful about what size drill as you don't want it to blow out the side. BigfootMSR Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 You could just get some PCB standoffs like these... http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=367 They work nicely. zaelu Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 @Scarecrow my trimmers are now digital encoders. they go click click click when I turn them advancing incremental and I can reset them by only pressing on top of the knob. and I can remap them as other buttons whenever I need it. For me are the best trimmers ever.
