Stratos Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Flying at night, is possible to "see" the HUD while wearing night glasses? I need the NVG to see outside but the HUD is unreadable. Thanks. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Fishbreath Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Turn the HUD mode switch from NORM to NIGHT and crank the brightness knob all the way down. dsobbe Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 You didn't say which version of BS you have. The mod, Crystal_Clear_NVG_V2, makes a huge difference in the clarity of night vision. The file is located somewhere on this form, but I couldn't find it. So attached is my copy.Crystal_Clear_NVG_V2.rar
Stratos Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 I'm on BS2 on DCS:World last patch. dsobbe, do I need to copy the file inside the rar on proper location and is all? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
dsobbe Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) I'm on BS2 on DCS:World last patch. dsobbe, do I need to copy the file inside the rar on proper location and is all? That is the complete mod that I downloaded. BS 1.0.1 had terrible night vision display problems and that mod corrected them. I don't know if those display problems were corrected in later versions, or if Crystal Clear is compatable with BS2. Perhaps someone else here knows. Good luck. ADDED NOTE: Sorry, I misunderstood your question. If the pathes are the same in BS2 as BS1, then just copy the file NV_P.DAT to the location indicated in the Bazer folder. Backup the original file first, just in case it doesn't work. Edited August 30, 2013 by dsobbe Corrected answer.
