Nossie Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Hey guys, Has anyone had false positives etc with Avast Antivirus and any DCS related game? I just got a notification that combined arms could be Win32:Evo-gen. Cheers, Not suggesting it IS a virus - but wanted anyone elses experiences with DCS and avast.
aussieboy Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) yes I had the same warning today, I just ignored it. Edited September 4, 2013 by aussieboy
Nossie Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 One strange thing I should clarify - I think I may have it currently installed twice - once with steam and once standalone DCS World. (due to having FC3 installed also) I'm only getting the issue with the Steam install. cheers EDIT: and now I notice there has been a partial DCS update on steam.
aussieboy Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I don't have the steam version so it's an Avast issue. I filled in the form and submitted it as a false positive, I've included my email address so if needed they'll contact me for more info.
zaelu Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 something similar to me. I disabled Avast. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
aussieboy Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 The CombinedArms.dll passes the Avast scan since the last definitions update. Now that was quick!
