How would I activate Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 activation in STEAM?

I have DCS world and everything else activated in steam

Su-25T

BS2

A-10C

Huey Beta

P-51

Combat Arms

A-10A flaming cliffs

S-25 Flaming cliffs

All working in steam

I own Modern air combat Lock-on

and I purchased Flaming cliffs 3 upgrade

I don't see how to get it working with steam?

Do I install lock-on even though I won't launch it in steam? Do I need to point steam to it?

I'd like to add all the aircraft it has to my steam dcs world if possible

Thanks

You can download and install the FC3 module from the website here (1.2.6..) , by chosing the correct path to the steam install DCSWORLD. (need to have lock on installed first)

But for this module you won't receive update support from steam. So when there is a new update, you have to do the above again with the newer patch version.

Install Lock On into it's own location.

FC3 will find it's install location automatically as long as you have DCS World installed. FC3 cannot be installed without first having DCS World.

I just purchased the beta Mi-8

I got it outside steam figuring that since they updated all the keys to work with steam I'd be all set.

Wrong

It wont recognize that in steam

I'm trying to install it into steam

It says I need DCS world 1.26... I have the latest in steam DCS world.

Do I need to install both worlds? This is turning into a major pain.

They need to be all in with steam or not at all. This part way stuff stinks.

When you purchase a key on ED's site, the information is not immediately sent to Steam. ED periodically sends a list of valid (sold) keys to Steam. Until ED sends the next update to Steam, your key will not be recognized.

The 'best' way depends on what you wish to accomplish. If you wish to use them on Steam, then buying from ED will involve the delay mentioned above. However, if the delay is not an issue, or you intend on running DCS World outside of Steam, then the current sale prices in ED's shop are quite good.

Regarding activations, there are 10 whether you buy from ED or from Steam.

Thank You.

It's clear for me. And what happens if I need activate more then 10 times? Shall I talk to support and ask to reset my Serial Number ?

Each time I install Windows I need activate game again ?

My opinion : I don't need more then 5 times ( but who knows).

The way it works is that you also get 10 deactivations. If you deactivate before a system rebuild, then you will reuse that activation on your next install. If, by some chance, you use all 10, it works like this...

When you use the last activation, a thirty day clock starts. After 30 days, you will receive 1 activation. When your activation count reaches zero again, the 30 day countdown begins again.

Thank You.

So it works like iPhone activation. I need activate/deactivate each time I reinstall Windows or use different PC.

1. As I see STEAM's prices are about 2-3$ more so I will order from DCS directly.

2. I also joined to Project "dcs-wwii-europe-1944" today (for 40$) seems to me good investment.

As was stated, DCS keys between ED <> Steam gets updated.

But we talking about Flaming Cliffs 3 here, which won't be in Steam.

Maybe there is workaround - Steam keys for FC3 planes??

..for those who prefer Steam and don't want to mess with StarForce.

The Steam Modules Still use the Same Starforce DRM Activation System.
