R4ndomResp4wn Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Since latest patch A10-C is unplayable, crashes after selecting instant action or any 'real' missions. Training missions work fine with all graphical settings. Game is broken after last patch. I have posted a ticket in the DCS website two weeks ago, but obviously that isn't even checked. Can anyone help? Game works fine on my rig with ALL graphical settings ONLY if I select a training mission. If I select instant action or some other game option it starts the loading screens and crashes with DCS World has stopped working, game assumes mission has ended and throws an error it can't find the debriefing file. SyntaxError Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) 1.2.6 is giving us all trouble friend, but it's no reason to ask for a refund. Try running DCS repair via Start > All Programs > Eagle Dynamics, it looks like that one dll file may be faulty. If it still doesn't work try installing the sim to your main drive which has Windows installed (C: ). It may help? If all else fails you can revert back to 1.2.5 (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030) "Updating or Reverting DCS World to the latest build of a Specific Version in the Command Prompt Window Type: DCS_Updater.exe update <version> (ie DCS_Updater.exe update 1.2.5) The DCS Updater Box will open and begin verifying files and downloading the files for the version you specified. Updating or Reverting DCS World to a Specific Sub Version: in the Command Prompt Window, Type: DCS_Updater.exe update <version.subversion> (ie DCS_Updater.exe update 1.2.5.16508) The DCS Updater Box will open and begin verifying files and downloading the files for the version you specified." R4ndomResp4wn Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 That seems like a good point, how to rule it out? Thanks for reply btw.

Yup, good catch Skates, This is a known issue, I believe they are trying to address it in the next patch. Wags commented on it. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1872049#post1872049 Edited September 20, 2013 by NineLine 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

R4ndomResp4wn Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 Thanks fellas, will try it and feed back. Of course now my shame is laid bare, totally new to this game. Forgive my frustrated OP, if the game wasn't so excellent, I wouldn't be so frustrated....
R4ndomResp4wn Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 Sorry, but i uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. Now game doesn't even start up - after choosing mission type, we expect loading screens and then 'Fly'. In my case no loading screen - seems the process simply dies without logging an error. Have rebooted, uninstalled etc several times. Any clues?
Hamblue Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Yes Uninstall Then re-install. This time create a directory directly off of the C drive. Like C:/DCS World. Instead of C:/Eagle dynamics/DCS World Creating a different directory will get you around any potential registry problems that may exist. Back before World it was a suggestion that seemed to work for some. 1 Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. ENO Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 In addition- you might need to delete the DCS folder in your Saved games file... it isn't touched when you reinstall / uninstall. Also, you may need to go into your registry and edit out the serial numbers. If you don't know how to do that I'll post the link... or just go to the 3 Rs of 126 crashes. 1 "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. R4ndomResp4wn Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 Uninstalled, deleted game folder, deleted save game folder. Rebooted, re-installed. Unchecked Game Avionics. Works at highest graphical settings on all mission types. CANCEL THAT REFUND!!! Thanks guys, much appreciated.
