If you actually paid attention to the thread in the Russian forum, you'd realize that no one is certain how exactly to model missiles in game because a lot of information is missing. ED tuned missiles - and although some of the figures are wrong, they are all tuned in such a way as to provide certain ranges.

 

You don't have any documents that show this missing information - I know you don't, because they're not available for public consumption.

 

So my question is, how is your mod going to be better/more realistic than what is in the game already?

 

You clame you got all documentation,but cant show the others.I also have all documentation,but cant show it to you.

I claim that you

 

a) Did not read what I wrote

b) decided to have an emotional response

c) don't have the necessary documentation to fill in the gaps

 

and d) if you did, I'd eventually see it anyway, so how about a real argument/response? :)

Mod does´nt have to be based from informations I have ´acquired'.

 

Then what exactly is it to be based on?

 

Maby you guys have some good informations and you can use them to make mod and give us for testing?

 

Rather than mod, why not provide documentation that we can use to get the SIM changed for the better?

 

 

Honestly, I cannot understand what you are trying to accomplish with your vague generalities/statements. We would all be in a much better position if you stopped hopping about like a frog on a hot skillet evading pertinent questions - we are all after the same thing: Betterment of the SIM. If you are sitting on documentation that can do just that then why not share?

Hello Viper.

I understand your desire to help and a passion to give contribution to the development of the FC 3,but this topic is not intended for the exchange of arguments with members of the ED team, but to hear the opinion of other players.

I do not have much time and no desire to go into any technical discussion.Many of us are tired from that since FC 2.Aslo English might be problem.One mistranslated word can make confusion,so help would be needed at that part.

So,at this moment I just want to hear other players opinion.

That's my point: You want our opinions but at the same time you don't want to provide the information necessary for us to formulate a reasoned opinion you are requesting.

missile performance is something that ed has to fix not server owners. if each server had its own parameters it would be chaotic.

 

i can adjust to differences in performance from patch to patch but to adjust from server to server is just absurd.

 

to be honest i am content with the current performance. it might not be perfect but it does follow the general guidelines and different missiles perform more or less like you would expect them to. im not saying they are fine the way they are right now. what i am saying is that perhaps only tweaking is needed and no drastic changes are necessary. i would most certainly not consider modding the S77TH server to change missile performance.

There is nothing needed to provide.

You play FC 3,you know what missiles flight model is.If you are satesfide with missiles modeling,that mean you do not support idea about mod for servers to correct missiles flight model.Things are clear.

I am not satisfied.

 

I do however understand that what I have at present is the best that can be done at this stage in development, knowing that it is a WIP and that missile modelling is receiving attention.

 

Am I willing to entertain a mod that is capable of improving the current flight model?

 

How can I possibly make that call when I know absolutely sweetbuggerall about said mod?

 

You know what, nevermind, I am through attempting to eek blood from a stone. Your unwillingness to entertain a reasonable request seems indicative that the best course of action would be to steer well clear of this alleged mod.

In DCSW/FC the Ru planes are far superior. Claiming I need to get better before I have earned a right. Sorry but you can shove that statement up your rear.

I'm sorry to be so blunt but if you're struggling 1v1 then you are not doing it right, so making such statements as you have are based on your lack of ability rather than what is going on in the sim.

Here we go again....ahh wait a sec.... still at it.

 

One tip for you primalrage.... start flying the mig and su... get emm lets say 200h+ in the pit no labels and exterior view..

Then you will understand that the amraam is not a magic stick being good tough...

 

If u fly ru planes aginst f15 u know that if the rwr lights up and its on +3 u have been detected.... at full minus 4 u know that in 15-20sec the first amraam is pitbull... so you notch.... start yo-yo's

 

It works 7out of10

 

But here comes the shocker..... NEVER FLY ALONE on a PVP server.

i fly on the 51st regulary.... mig29c and i dont fly alone.... period. If i do... i dont get to land the ac most of the time.

 

 

So.... yes earn the experience... might be not right...but experience... get a wingman... do tactics...read about it...

And keep hopeing that the network code gets sorted... and the vertical EOS elavation fixed..so we can get more siluets on the planes hehehe

 

Ohhh and have fun dont take it too serious... it a game...

What is clear is that you have not shown anything to prove that you somehow have the 'correct' missile flight model.

 

Given the discussion going on in the Russian part of the forum, it doesn't look like anyone has the 'correct' flight model.
