When I select my SU-25 wallpaper, start a mission, I get DCS stopped working error.

The makers of DCS need to start listening to there buyers and fix this.

DCS Has Stopped working

Alright, I'm so sick and tired of this crap.

First I finally figured it out and got DCS working.

Did the new 1.2.6 update, and now I'm back with the error "DCS HAS STOPPED WORKING"

So what is wrong, before I took some posters advice and installed it into a different directory, It worked fine.

Then I saw the new update, installed it and now I'm back where I started.

It's not my system cause when I had it running it worked fine.

Has anyone else had this problem?

My brother hasn't had any problems.

I's it because I'm running Win & 32 bit?

Do I need to Upgrade to 64 Bit?

Can any from DCS come up with a solution, I have purchased 3 modules when I got it working and now I'm stuck without a runway.

Also the 32 bit version has 4 gig maximum memory support which includes the video memory. That is why it only sees 3.3 gig of your main ram.

I'd suggest 8 gig of ram (pretty cheap these days) and 64 bit os.

New crash posts are popping on this forum all over the place. In most of them other members (that are trying to help - Thank you all) are recommending all kinds of upgrades from OS, CPU, RAM etc... Yet the web site still lists the specs as...

Recommended system requirements: Operating system 64-bit: Windows Vista and 7; Processor: CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400, AMD Phenom X3 8750 or better; Memory: 4GB; Hard disk space: 7 GB; Video: Shader 3.0 or better; 896MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 DirectX 9.0c or better; Sound: DirectX 9.0c - compatible; DirectX: 9.0C; requires internet activation.

Minimum system requirements: Operating system: Windows XP, Vista or 7; Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz; Memory: 3 GB; Free hard disk space: 7 GB; Video: 512 MB RAM card, DirectX 9 - compatible; Sound: DirectX 9.0c - compatible; requires internet activation.

What is going on here?

Some official statement about 1.2.6 issues sure would be nice, even if it just acknowledges the problem and says we're working on it.

We have requested that it be reviewed by the Devs, but what we are seeing since 1.2.5 and more so with 1.2.6 is that the requirements are indeed changing. That doesnt mean that something wont be done to help out 32bit people, in fact I submitted a bug report in regards to it, but I think for most people, the fact that the time is either coming, or is here to upgrade is pretty evident. Now I am just a tester, trying to help... I am not making any official statements, purely opinion.
