hypersonik
if i spawn A ammo truck and make it invisible next to a infantry group , will they have infinite ammo ? Making a mission that requires non-stop fire from hostile infantry ( night ops). As it is right now they stop shooting and the firefight comes to a HALT. DCSW wishlist : multi-crew :D GTX480, i52400, 8GB, Samsung EVO 840 250G SSD, Raid 0 2TB =~45 FPS [Maxed] [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
MasterZelgadis
Would be interested in that, too. "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Wie ein Adler. Ein fetter Adler." http://www.space-view.net
Grimes
Yes it will. But keep in mind that the truck isn't visually invisible. Its just invisible to AI targeting logic. MasterZelgadis
Which type of truck has it to be and how far away can it be? "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Grimes
Ural 375 and M-818 are the "ammo" trucks. The rearming range is either 50 or 100 meters from the vehicle with anything within that radius being completely re-armed every 30 seconds I think. Except for most SAMS which don't get re-armed. chromium
Except for most SAMS which don't get re-armed. and I didn't know that. sorry for the OT, but, is there a way to "refill" SAMs? thanks. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously. Grimes
and I didn't know that. sorry for the OT, but, is there a way to "refill" SAMs? thanks. Its done automatically. Once the launcher is completely empty it will rearm after 30 minutes. There are exceptions to the rule. The S-300 and Patriot missile launchers take an hour. The Roland has a capacity of 6 or 8 missiles but only 2 missile tubes, so it fires the 6 or 8 first and then the re-arm time starts. And also Unit.getAmmo() basically returns erroneous data due to how the sams are setup and different from other ground units. The sam pretty much always has an extra set of missiles in its supply. So once the sam gets down to 0 missiles ready to launch, it gets resupplied and starts a 30 minute re-arming timer. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Does the actual process of re-arming take any time? Or will any vehicle within the re-arming radius instantly be fully re-armed and the truck can drive off into hiding? 314-я смешанная авиационная дивизия 314th Mixed Aviation Division: The "Fighting Lemmings"- Forums: http://314thsquadron.enjin.com/ - ED Forum Group: http://forums.eagle.ru/group.php?groupid=
