Rescue the skiiers!

Another avalanche has happened at Elbrus. This time it was a group of swedish snowboarders that started it. Atleast 21 people are stranded over the eastern part of the mountain and we need to pick them up tonight or else we're picking up blocks of ice tomorrow. To make it more exciting we're dividing ourselves in two teams: yellow and green, and sees who picks up most skiiers. May the best team win!

По меньшей мере 21 человека оказались по всей горе, и мы будем поднимая все сегодня вечером или мы получим блоки льда спасательных завтра. Чтобы сделать его интересным, мы делим себя на две команды: желтых и зеленых, и посмотреть, кто управляет, чтобы поднять большинство лыжников. Пусть победит сильнейший!

The helicopters start at TORBA, located in the city of Tyrnauz. The skiers are spread out in an 4x4km area on the eastern side of the eastern peak.

 

To pick-up units: Hover 15m (50ft) above the person

 

Notes on the script:

The included script generates units randomly around a given point for the player to pick up. Look at line 1160 to configure it. Please note that IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY PREVIOUS MEDEVAC SCRIPT as this is a quick and dirty modification of that script and therefore cannot be used along side it unless you refactor this script.

Nice idea for the mission... for the Mi-8 or UH-1H... but A-10C? How is A-10C going to pick them up... unless its there to kill them by gun in case choppers can't find them? :D

only to find them, Heat signals with the TGP and report back to the helicopter? By the way, the Ka-50 would also not able to pick up them! :music_whistling:

You cannot pick up anyone with the A-10C, its only there for finding people for your team. The reason the Ka-50 was included as a rescuechopper was for one of my squadmates who only had that module and it would even out the teams. Its an easy fix to remove the ability of the Blacksharks to pick up skiers: just rename them in the mission editor!

OMG forgot to tell you where the helicopters start! The FARP is located east of Elbrus in a town I think is called Tyrnyauz. Just fly heading ~260 for ~15 minutes and you should be there. The two high peaks in front of you are the Elbrus mountain. The skiers are spread out in a 4x4km area on the eastern mountain side of the eastern peak. So sorry to forget to tell you about this slightly crucial information. Was too eager to get this up here that I totally forgot to tell you how to complete the mission.

In the game, switch to external view or F10 and press Left Alt + Y (I think it is).
