We're hard at work to set up the DCS World section for the LLTM 2014.

In order to make this event even better than previous ones, we'd like to know what you want.

What kind of event would make you decide to come to Enschede?

What type of missions would you like to see in the competition?

What would you like to see besides a competition?

Please respond, so we can tailor the event to your needs to make the LLTM 2014 the best one ever.

For more information about the LLTM, please visit http://www.lowlandtigermeet.com

Maybe be a good idea to add some information about what is LLTM as i've got no idea at the moment.

(Hope you don't mind Joe Kurr, for putting the description here)

The Lowland Tiger Meet event is inspired on the real life NATO Tigermeet. Fighter squadrons bearing the Tiger symbol in their patch come together to fight, learn and socialize. This is what the LLTM is all about. Only without some of the strict military rules. Brotherhood, flying and learning while doing. That's what the LLTM stands for......

In short: it's a LAN party for flightsimmers.Flightsimmers bring their hardware (pc, HOTAS , homebuildcockpits) and compete in various missions to earn various prizes, making new friends, meeting old friends and learn the skills in the process.

As presented at their website:

Come on guys we are building the missions at the moment what would you guys love to see in it.

Some of the missions that are in the pipeline are....

BVR , CAS, SEAD or maybe a night time mission.

For example put in a couple of A-10 or SU-25T in the BVR that can do a secondary task. So that people that don't have the F-15 or SU-27 ( FC3 ) can compete in every mission.

Only Serious reactions or ideas for the missions PLZ

Concerning mission building, a few tips:

1. Please use different atmospheric conditions, at least in combat-missions. These are "all weather fighters/strikers", so why 95% of mp-servers run missions with "holiday-like" weather? That's far from reality. Use rain, snow, fog, storm, wind, etc. Let us prove we can land on instruments, in strong cross-wind!

2. In combat-missions use "logical" AAD-deployment, that's mix of loong/medium/short-range systems, covering each-other. Lonely S-300 does not look realistically. And when I'm at it: do not squeeze systems like S-300 to one compact pack on area barely as large as one soccer-playground (one more bad habit in many mp-misions). Missile-launchers of the same long-range system can be many miles away from command/radar vehicles! So if a pilot turns away from radar after he received missile-launch warning, he might just as well turn unwittingly toward incomming missile (he already overflew launcher during inbound flight)...

There's some input we can work with :)

1. We're using dynamic weather systems in the missions, and currently working out some nice and varied conditions. So expect visibility to range from unlimited to 0, with varying wind directions and speeds, and local precipitation.

2. Air defences will range from short-range AAA and MANPADS to long range SAMS (S-300 / Patriot), covering the entire battlefield and red/blue overlapping at the front line. We hope this will bring some challenges to the SEAD guys. We will definately look into your suggestion of placing SAM launchers and radars further apart.

As Joe Kurr stated the Dynamic is in progress. As for the AAD Deployment that gave a nice idea. You can pull the AA sites empty and then try to finish them off.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I'm more interested in 2 hours briefings and debriefings. That's more fun. :D

What kinds of missions can we expect?

Here is a list of some of the standard missions. We try our best to make it possible for everyone to fly every mission.

Navi challenge: SU-25T

BVR : F-15C Su-27 and SU-25T

SEAD : SU-25 SU-25T A10C KA-50 Mi-8 and UH1 + Combined Arms

CAS : SU-25 SU-25T A10C KA-50 Mi-8 and UH1 + Combined Arms

Dogfight Compo : Every aircraft aviable for DCS World

And there are some more missions in development.

If you have any questions just ask..

NOTE: If new modules are being released before the LLTM starts we will try to add them to it.

At the moment we have no plan to use paid 3rd-party tools like LotATC, because we don't know if participants will have it.

Building a mission around such a tool is a risk, as you can't fly the mission when nobody has the tool installed.

Concerning the briefings, we will do a briefing before every mission, we haven't decided yet about debriefs.

...Dogfight Compo : Every aircraft aviable for DCS World...

I'm not sure what you mean with "dogfight compo" (gunzo?), but once we organised a "WVR-tournament" (only full load of short-range IR missiles). It was placed in Caucasus-region of the map, with a lot of deep valleys to hide, flying low, looking for and chasing each other, firing sidewinders or r73 in vertical-/helmet-mode. It was not so energy-sensitive as gunzo (one wrong turn and you are sitting duck), but it was a hell of fun!
