Creating Mission in DCS World

Here is properly more what you are looking for in, your Game folder there is a folder called Doc/ inside this there is a pdf with a manual for the Mission Editor...

A number of member of the group I'm currently with (7) just purchase DCS P-51 and we want to create a mission that all of us can join, get in some practice and familiarization as a group, and we can alternate the hosting. Thanks for the fast reply. TC

As MWD said, if your just trying to get all of you in one map on a multiplayer session, it's fairly simple.

 

When you add a unit, under skill level select "client". That will enable the unit you placed to be controlled by another human. This is of course assuming the person has the module for the unit your placing. So as long as you all purchased the P-51 and you create P51 units set to "client", you'll be ok.

 

There's frankly so much you can do it would be difficult to cover every situation. I've been playing with the editor for about 2 weeks now and I've barely scratched the surface of what you can do. For me it's more addicting then actually flying the aircraft. Designing missions and watching the AI follow your commands to seemingly dynamic environments is very satisfying. Assuming you have the patience to experiment.

 

 

 

The link here is just a reference manual for the mission editor, it's not really a tutorial. You can also look on youtube for a couple video's, but there isn't much that I've found.

this mission has 7 P-51D in it, RampStart from Batumi.

 

Just open it in the ME and save it on your HDD (don`t ask, but it should in the old days make the mission smoother...).

 

I have just place a P51 on Batumi airfield, change it to client and RampStart and rename the unit and the Pilot. After this copy&past this unit seven times and rename unit name and pilot names and change the parking space for the rampstart (~3min work).

I have a question;

 

Once I have created a mission, where can I find it in order to share it with others in my squad?? What folder is it located in and where is that folder??

If you saved it to the default location, it should be in ..\Saved Games\DCS\Missions

I’m in the process of creating a set of training missions based on a rw syallabus I would like to make it as real as possible I have a list of items that need to be accomplished some in order without coaching in order to pass the ride. Is it possible to do so?

 

Also, does dcs allow you to program engine fail conditions
