Hi,

Bought it few days ago, and have to say i'm stunned!! :surprise:

What a level of details, fonctions, features!

The use of both MFCD, and the IFFCC combined with the UFC seems endless!!

Never ever saw such complex features modelised at this point in any simulation...

We even can program from incockpit a flight plan!...and give names to waypoints etc...this is crazy awesome!

Not to talk about the very well done flight model, damage model, and all those little details so close to reality (it seems to me anyway)

It is total immersion, furthermore flying with the TM Warthog joystick hotas :clap_2: ...and Ricardo cockpit mod!

Still complete newbee of course, but i'm glad i can now manage full cold start, take off, landings, navigation (still in progress), and target destroying with few weapons (basic ones still...).

Even managed to extinguish fire on one engine in flight (get hitted by ennemy guns), stopped this engine and flew back home and landed safely:thumbup:

Great flying experience ;)

A little question to TM Warthog owners though:

- it seems my hotas slew control isn't working on my TM Warthog. Have to use the keyboard keys...tried to re-map it via the option/commands, but left/right/up/down isn't recognised.

Only when i press it, it's recognised as one button. So i can't move the targetting square, unless using keyboard.

Any idea to solve this?

(no big deal using keyboard, but i guess my hotas is supposed to work as the real one ingame...)

Try plugging it into a different USB port mine did the same thing and it solved it for me, I understand the rest of the stick works but if it was like mine changing the port corrected the issue

Hmm, it should work by default settings. I just ironically had to redo a hard drive install today. Only thing that needs to be changed by default for TMWH is the trim control as it defaults 'the hat' to look view. Make sure you have obvious settings like "Sync Hotas @ start" and "Disable Force Feedback" set.

Please tell me you have Track IR5 to? If not, go order it NOW and you'll be in Warthog bliss! :)

Just tried it into 2 others USB with no more success...thanks though :(

Yes i have synch hotas at start, and no FFB set. By default, no one TM Warthog button assigned to the slew...

Yes i have TIR5 from long time, and i agree it's awesome :)

Hi,

For the slew control go into the axis assign section then click on Hotas slew Horizontal and vertical to verify the correct assignment.

Then while in each one click on axis tune. Set your X and Y saturation to your liking. My X is set to 100 and Y set to 70 with deadzone of 14 and curvature of 15.

Mine was originally set wayyy to low and it barely moved.

Take your time and get it set up right. You'll be glad you did

Good Luck

Thanks so much Hamblue

That did it, and it works as intended now!

I don't know why game didn't recognise those slew axes by default when pluggin my Warthog...all others axes/buttons were recognised at first though.

Also was stupid not searching in axes inputs...so many settings!

EDIT: Not that easy to fine tune the slew control sensitivity...

With your settings above, the little square dot is almost uncontrolable!

With stock curve, it's still way too sensitive and fast.

Had to reduce Y to 70, no dead zone, and curvature of 35! Now i can put the square almost where i want.

Glad you got that worked out.

This is awesome software!!! I like it so much I try to assist with any PC Hardware issues, so users have a good experience with the sim. I am a Long Time PC Tech. and thought I would give my assistance to the great work this small company put out I liked it so much.

Thanks Atalia!

Yes fantastic sim from any modules point of view so far.

All of them are so immersive, with so many things to handle (mainly full clickable modules)...the learning curve for some modules can be so long, i can't believe it!

Learning the real ones shouldn't be shorter :)

Have some trouble with my slew control and the trim control though.

- slew is still too much sensitive on my TM, even with any curve, and can't adjust target precisely.

So i remapped it on my keyboard arrows, and it works fine mouving the cross enough slowly. Don't know why my TM slew button is so sensible and so fast :(

- same way, my trim keyboard keys are also too sensitives...as soon as a fast little key hit, plane pitch or roll is way off...and i can't use my joystick hat (as the real one) because it's here i have mapped my zoom (the only practicable/easy place remaining imo)

Have still some tweaks to find out...

If your referring to the slew on the mfcd with the TGP or Mav, you can adjust those on the MFCD itself.

Didn't know that...with OSB buttons?

ExcessiveHeadspace discusses this in his video "Ground Attack with the Targeting Pod" take a look here.

I didn't see anything in the posted video about adjusting the slew, but otherwise, yes, you can use the OSBs to adjust the slew rate. I think you hit CTRL OSB and you should be able to adjust the slew rate in there. Unless it's changed, I think a slew of 1 is fast and a slew of 5 is slow. Whichever it is, just play around with the numbers until you like it.
