People,

 

The current sticky, I think by its number of hits, has proven to be a great Sticky.

 

But....could we have a Sticky for building infrastructure? I know there are Dimebug plans and Aces 2 plans.

 

What about a sticky for building panels, not just A10 specific, but how to build in: wood, plastic, CNC, hand made....

 

I trawl every thread, every day but it would be cool if the builders (or followers) could link the personal threads to specific stickies?

 

I dont mean that to detract from reading the excellent threads, just that someone starting now could have immediate access to dimebugs plans and all those using it over the last 3 years, and also look up simple switches and a thread on building a backlit panel.

 

If there were say stickies on:

 

Simple panel electrics

 

How to make a panel

 

Cockpit foundations (structure etc.)

 

Whatever, everyone wants to see the build in progress, but if you are starting out, its hard to scroll back 2 years and 30 pages to see the part of the build you are interested in.

 

Just a thought....

having first forum page loaded with stickies is IMHO no the best way to go.

instead if someone could take on compiling a "digest" - a thread with first post holding permanent links to useful posts (cathegorized into "general technique' , "electronic", "interfacing" etc), discussion below with suggestions of what to add, categories to add, things to remove and so on. something like that will be awesome to stick.

 

the problem is someone needs to sit down and compile all that stuff. and then be present to modify this first post

Agreed. A front page full of stickies ends up being a page full of old news, like we have now in other sections, and is only useful the first few times someone visits.
