...and really hard waiting for DCS WW2 Europe 1944 release :gun_rifle:

Tons of fun flying the P51 alone actually, though, but really missing a WW2 accurate environment...and other same area planes.

I tend to believe it's gonna be the ultimate WW2 sim, the must have of all ever, if everything matches what has been done with DCS P51 module (manual included)

Not to say if DCS WW2 can run as smooth as DCS actually on my rig!

Don't you think it could be the best ever WW2 flight sim?

Really wish and hope it will get a good single player career mode too.

I'm just afraid that the future map will be a little short (of what i've readed)...

I just can't believe they could release this stunning detailed simulation level for late 2014.

Is it really for late 2014? :D

I think it will be the best WW2 sim ever. And yes it will be a long, long wait. I'm jonesing over here at so many great modules that just aren't coming quick enough.

"Hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky; With hideous ruin and combustion down;
To bottomless perdition, there to dwell; In adamantine chains and penal fire"

(RIG info is outdated, will update at some point) i5 @3.7GHz (OC to 4.1), 16GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 970 4GB, TrackIR 5 & TrackClip Pro, TM Warthog HOTAS, VKB T-Rudder Mk.IV, Razer Blackshark Headset, Obutto Ozone

yes, i also think it will be the best WWII sim by far.i think, once this is released, it will set a new bar regarding WWII sim, and all the others couldnt be called sim anymore.

waiting will be a torture yes.

but i dont share your fear about the map, as the map sdk will be released in the soon future, this will be the least we have to worry about.

cant wait to see the skills and manpower of the community united in big beautifull maps.

Aaah, that is excellent news!

But of what i've readed, it could be possible for them to extend the map to the South England...if they get enough money i think. That would be great.

I'm with you on this David, but I think the very most important thing, is to have tree's and shrubs in our objects list. Or the ability to add our own would work too...read my post in the terrain thread about that, we all need to ask llya for that to be included, before its too late :pilotfly:

Did you ever fly P-51 in MP dogfight with 20 players?

There is nothing smooth!!! Currently it is only a big pain.

There is a lot to do for RRG.

Nope. I'm not MP player, i live too far from everywhere :D

Didn't even know DCS MP had troubles. Hoping for you they'can improve it.

Was on MP some time ago with other sim...and it was pretty bad too.

Guess it's a typical MP problem having hard time to handle too complex simulations.

But perso, focusing only on SP, i'm very satisfied with current DCS.

While you wait, there is one sim already out that is quite ok now after Team Fusion patches. Ofc period is late 1940 so that maybe haven't got the same appeal as 1944, certainly doesn't have for me. And then the other title that's coming (hopefully) Q2 2014, so there is that to try out while you wait for DCS WWII release. If you want WWII action that is.

Humm...yes, they did a good job trying to clear it, but even after TF4 it's still so away from DCS P51 standarts i have hard time playing it...

Waiting too for BOS...but afraid to step back from a Ferrari to a Kia :D

Well, will see anyway.

Other thing i really hope and looking forward in future DCS WW2 is the advanced AI...

Advanced AI recreates historical tactics and models pilots of varying skill levels, from bumbling rookies to merciless aces.

...because actual FW 190 AI is just one ace level :joystick:

DCS:World has a problems with WW2 aviation atm. Mainly AI and visibility. Hopefully ED or RRG will work on them for the release of DCS:1944.
