Hi guys, I am newly registered to the forum, but have been viewing it since September. What a great place to share info.

Anyway, I have been using A-10C since back end of August via a Steam install without too many issues, or non that I have not been able to resolve by searching here. The problem that I have started yesterday.

When firing DCS A-10C up it goes through the usual slow start to get to main menu. It does not seem to matter whether I create fast mission, load a previous one or go for instant action but when the sim loads, once I get into the cockpit after the 'Press Break/Pause key' part the view instantly pitches up 90 degrees. Holding Num 5 resets it but as soon as I let go it reverts to pitching up.

Deleted the saved game folder thinking corrupt config somewhere but same happened on next startup.

Tried various other things but in the end decided it would be faster to uninstall DCS World etc and do a reinstall. Did that but still same issue.

Once again deleted saved game folder and also unplugged my X52 Pro stick thinking that may be the cause. Still the same.

I am now at the point where I have run out of ideas. I guess that this is something stupidly simple but I can't find it.

Any pointers would be gratefully received as I am dead in the water at the moment.

I know you unplugged your joystick to make sure it wasn't adding any unwanted inputs but I would still suggest checking your control configuration for the A-10C, under the View category, and making sure that "View Up Slow" isn't bound to anything other than keyboard commands. I would also go through the View Cockpit category and double check the same.

Why you stayed singe August with this problem? :)

Clearly something gives the game the input to pitch up the view. Usually that is Numpad 8 or some HAT button that doesn't work correctly.

Or the mouse. Do you see the yellow cross for clickable mouse? Is it staying where you put it or has the tendency to move up also?

Basically check for a malfunction in your hardware and then check in key/axis assignments what is assigned to "cockpit view pitch up" or move up... I don't remember how is named now.

As Suchacz says... unplug what you have in USBs as controllers one by one especially if you don't need them (steering wheels etc)

Thank you guys for the replies.

Last night I did some fault finding. Started by clearing the profiles in Controls page. No good so then tackled the USB suggestion.

Unplugged all USB devices and re-plugged one by one. All worked fine until I plugged the keyboard in. Eureka I thought. Plugged a different keyboard in and still had pitch up issue.

Decided to try keyboard in different USB socket and worked fine so it looks like all was caused by a faulty USB socket.

Thank you all for your help.
