How is that true if the software wasn't optimized for SLi?

Are you contending the extra GPU Ram is the cause of the increase? How So?

Not the RAM, but the 1344 Shaderunits (GTX 660Ti) x 2 = 2688 Shaderunits :-) ...

The GTX 780Ti comes with 2.880 Shaderunits :-) ....

If you run two of them (GTX 780Ti) you deploy 2.880 Shaderunits x 2 = 5760 Shaderunits with the GPU calculations.

same thing here just got another 680 GTX hoping that my performance increase and got bummer instead... and considering great but slow evolution of DCS I would be better of to wait for Maxwell single gpu solution :/ ...

I think AFR2 rendering setting is the key to SLI in DCS...

I use 2xMSI GTX660Ti 3GB and the difference is outstanding... 50-60FPS running upto 100FPS with the ocassional 30FPS on airfields...

But the increased frame flow is so noticeable, even my headtracking works better, simply DCS re-discovered with SLI!!!

you mean force alternate frame rendering 2?

Yup, that one... It's even set in the profile "Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark" that is accesible through Nvidia Inspector and most believably controls DCS behaviour...

The default settings that catch my eyes are:

SLI_PREDEFINED_GPU_COUNT_FOUR

SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_FORCE_AFR2

Maybe one should fiddle with those if SLI doesn't share it's load on both cards...

I wish it was that easy to get XFire working on AMD GPUs... lol.

I tried those Settings and they boost the fps rate (without AFR2 I have less than 20 fps).

I have 2 MSI 770 2 GB Twin Frozr and a Custom 3 Monitor Setting - left and right 1920x1080, Center 1920x1200. The Settings are optimized to have a seamless Impression. Which of course costs some fps.

Limiting the fps to 30 keeps it at a stable rate of 30. Unlimited it ist typically at 35 but drops to 25 from time to time for a short period.
