Dudester22 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I keep getting what I can only describe as a quick flash of colour at the bottom of my screen. I have tried updating graphics card but it still happens every so often. I'm just wondering if there is another way to fix this without having to re-install the whole game again?
Aginor Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 That doesn't sound very much like a game bug to me. I had such things some time ago when my monitor was broken. When do they appear? At all times? DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
Dudester22 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 That doesn't sound very much like a game bug to me. I had such things some time ago when my monitor was broken. When do they appear? At all times? This is a new 42" Sony Bravia television and I haven't noticed it in other games. It seems to be random and happens to quick for me to get a screen shot. If I had to guess though, I would say it's like a flash of green that happens really quicklynear the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure if it would happen outside the cockpit, but I'll try to determine that. One other thing I was going to try was to reinstall Direct X for windows 7 64bit. Do you have a link to get Directx for windows 7 64bit because I cannot find one? I have a Geforce 680GTX graphics card. Thanks!!
Aginor Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Ah, now I get what you mean I think. I also had that kind of bug once IIRC, it was when I moved the cursor of the mouse in one of the screen corners in certain games. I don't know how I solved it, I think it was by just installing a new driver. reinstalling directX might also help. You can get it here (German download page, but I assume if you just google "directx download" you will also find something similar in another language): http://www.chip.de/downloads/DirectX_38663475.html DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet

I've also adjusted some Led television settings aswell. This Sony Bravia has a gaming mode and I have just switched off Detail enhancer and Edge enhancer. I don't suppose you know what these two settings do for games do you? All the other setting were off apart from these two. Thanks!!
Rangi Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Also check the temps on your GPU, I have experienced something similar and traced it back to temps of 80C+ on my gpu. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
Bodo Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I'd gamble on the GPU failing. Knockl it down by a few clocks and see if the issue goes away and yes, as mentioned check temps. What type of card do you have? I've an EVGA and precision X lets you know all teh details you'd need. I thnink MSI afterburner would also be good to downclock and check temps and that's a highly recommended toold for OC'ing GPUs. Gainward Geforce 680GTX, I don't think it's the graphics card because it doesn't do it with any other game and the card has never locked up or anything. I think if it was the Graphics Card, I would be seeing much worse things then I am seeing now. Gpu temp is 34 c idle and upto 55 c ingame. Edited November 12, 2013 by Dudester22
Dudester22 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Are you running any mods ? Haze and sound mod. I'll try switching haze mod of in JSGME see if that helps.
