Torino, if you look in the squadron database ( http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Virtual_Squadrons_and_Regiments ) you can maybe find a squad who you could join. On our squadron at least we welcome every new member and we can teach him/her if wanted (off course without payment!! That would be ridiculous!). I suspect the same would apply for other squads.

You'll have a hard time finding commercial training and IMO that's not how one would approach the sim. A big part of the fun is figuring out how to do things. For the real deal, serve in the Air Force...

Whatrver u think mate !

Lets see why this doesn't fly:

-Trainer needs tons of time

-Trainer guarantees a standard

-Trainer cannot plan the progress

-Yet, Trainer would be liable for result

That'd cost you dearly. What I don't understand is why you ask to be allowed to pay, and don't ask for training (carefully read the first post again).

From here on, I'm with Neon67.

How is anyone going to teach you, if you cannot even listen to common sense.

Maybe you misunderstood - I take it you're not a native english speaker !

Brisbane, I think, is in Australia, so he's an English speaker alright.

NE coast of Aussie, unless there's another, and not necessarily an English speaker. Oz has a large influx of people from Indonesia, Asia, where English would not be their first language :-)

Did you miss the part about this being a game?

Well its not a game actually, rather a simulator that needs countless hours of practice to learn properly, hence the military use it to train RL pilots . Most of us started flying many years ago which is not the case of a new comer.

Going trough the manual and tutorials will do the job for a newbie that would like to operate a specific unit, but it will never come close to private coaching with a veteran intructor who would cover things that can not be found on text-books.

It's a normal reaction to someone who's obviously suggested an unnecessary thing, to join the Air Force. I mean, seriously, was not nice.

I agree with having the curiosity and the will to figure it out on your own.

Brisbane, I think, is in Australia, so he's an English speaker alright.

And suggesting to join the Air Force is NOT COMMON SENSE, when the guy is just asking for DCS coaching, not to actually learn to fly the real thing.

The answer was not polite, and so his reaction is justifiable.

Although all the bs could just have been ignored.

I do sense the frustration from him, but as with any simulator, you cannot expect an instant gratification and be prepared to invest months, if not years, into flying the sim daily, before it becomes second nature.

But, as he is actually willing to pay for the training, you have to give him some credit, as that shows that he's serious and just not very competent on his own and wants to speed this process up. This is normal.

I can help with Su-25T or any aircraft but P-51 and UH-1, haven't figured those out myself yet, also not very good with Mi-8 either, but Ka-50 any time.

So, if you like, message me, and I will give you my TS info and we'll go from there.

:smartass:

I dont use forums , if i knew how to message you i would !

I am also half way through my pilots lic. but thats not helping me with jets !!!

I probably do get a bit upset or annoyed when people who can do probably one thing like this sim and probably not much else and act superior :)

Okay, I would suggest you answer the following points. That would help us helping you.

-What aircraft do you have and want instructions for?

-Do you have a microphone which you can use with teamspeak?

-What time do you fly at?

Then I would also suggest not to post telephone numer and e-mail adresses in the internet ;)

Basically there are several planes you can buy for DCS.

-Su-25T - Comes with DCS and is free, but just very basic

-A-10C Warthog - Fully realistic simulation. Needs lots of time to be learned.

-Ka-50 BlackShark - Same as the A-10.

-P-51D Mustang- Same as A-10. Altough piston aircraft with less systems.

-Uh-1H and Mi-8 helicopters. Also very realistic and difficult to fly.

Yes. I would recommend TeamSpeak though because it is more stable than Skype. It's also free and easier to set up. ;)
