Extend the Spline for the Gears to the bottom of the Tire.

Ok, so enlarging the strut did raise the aircraft from the ground. Then I went ahead and deleted the wheels (the round thing at the end of the strut) and it had no effect.

I think the Collision Shells around the wheels are used for damage (blown tire, destroyed tire from enemy fire, whatever.)

 

Where the collision lines are used to set length of gear when extended.

Aaaand setting the values in suspension table did have an effect. Seemed the amortizer force where too weak...

Hi,

 

I'm looking for clues how to make a clean landing gear animation with 3ds max. Maybe someone can give me some advice. I have my plane finished except for the landing gear animation
