SmokeyTheLung Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 ^^^Agreed. From a modding standpoint it won't be an easy fix (otherwise I'd have made an "etched" or black t-80 reticle ages ago). It seems that the coders/artists at ED shouldn't have many issues changing the way it works, although I'm speaking from a point of almost complete ignorance :D Let's hope they get them dialed in eventually! RNeves Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Would be nice if tank interiors started to get modeled too... I think that CA would start to sell even more if it had them.... Maybe delegate this kind of work to some 3rd party or something.... shagrat Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 To my knowledge 3rd Party developers need to apply to ED, get a contract and are required to meet a list of criterias including a demo of their work, meet certain "quality assurance goals" etc. Most developers that have a crush on Tanks do their own stuff, like Steel Beasts. May be Bohemia Interactive could, or even the guys behind Steel Armor: Blaze of Glory (horrible interface, but good Tank interior and mechanics), could take on such a contract. I doubt it is happening, though. Most brilliant idea would be to open the engine to the Modder scene inside the community and provide them with we help/tutorials to get stuff done... My best guess is, once EDGE is introduced - the graphics on the ground enhanced - we will see an update to CA, provided the netcode gets an overhaul and can handle some 32 or better 64 players. Anyway, as long as they even don't fix the throttle axis bug ("Pump! Forrest! Pump!") any nice interior feels a bit useless as I can't "drive" my Tank... :D Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
