  1. One thing I'm not really clear... Was the new damage model implemented today? Cheers
  2. Finally ED can manage to recreate an engine sound that gets close to the real thing! Let's hope that they manage to do the same to the already released warbirds...
  3. I raised this question some time ago, and some of the ED guys didn't treat this as being a first priority. So my guess is that this aircraft won't be much different.... I love this game, but when i'm in the mood to fly WWII aircrafts, I just go somewhere else... The lack of small details like this are keeping me away from buying any more WWII content in DCS
  4. Looks like I'll give my joystick a pretty long rest.... I'm affraid that all this means that we won't see the F-18 this year too...
  5. Isn't it normal for an interceptor? Air superiority fighters are the ones that are suposed to have a higher fuel autonomy.
  6. Dude, the video in the link I posted before is criticizing the ones who criticize the FM, and I clearly say that I think the same way (i also criticized the ones who criticized the FM)... Please, next time read the full conversation before making any statement, because as I explained, I also think this airplane is awesome! :)
  7. Don't know if it was for me.... but if it was, go back and read comment #212...
  8. Of course that there is a huge difference between being a pilot and a programmer... But if you were a fighter pilot and responsible for the flight model of a module of the aircraft you fly or flew, would you approve an unacurate flight model?? If it was me and I saw something was wrong with the FM, it would have to be changed... Even if not right away..
  9. If a mig pilot is involved, maybe he is the ideal person to deliver an acurate FM. If changes are made to the FM, maybe someone said something is wrong. And by making changes to some parameters, maybe other parameters get unexpectedly affected... I face this as an ever evolving process It was another victim of one of my video streaks... I laughed alot with the description. Channel subbed
  10. At least someone thinks the same way as I do about the new FM...
  11. I presume you're talking about OGMA, right?
  12. Yep, only a few parts are produced in Portugal, but there was alot more involvement in terms of development from portuguese universities and engineering companies... http://www.jornaldenegocios.pt/empresas/industria/detalhe/kc_390_maior_projecto_aeronautico_portugues_e_apresentado_hoje.html Anyway, can't wait to see it flying here in Portugal... Assuming that Portugal actually acquires any of them.... Cheers
  13. Nice! Where was it? Part of it is made in Portugal! Cheers

    Radar self test

 Problem solved! Didn't remember that I had to lock the target to start the test... Thanks alot

    Radar self test

I tried to put the radar in stanby mode and give it some minutes to warm up (around 10 minutes just to make sure) and the same happened, the image stays fixed. I attached a picture showing the radar screen when I press the self test button.

    Radar self test

I'll try that and post the results when i'm done Thanks
  17. When I start the aircraft and after activating all the systems, I try to do the radar self test and the radar screen lights up and just stays that way, not doing the self test. Anyone else with this problem?

From what I've been reading, fired SARH missiles can't be detected by the RWR, the only thing detected by the RWR is when the firing aircraft enters STT mode to fire the SARH missile. In the same manner, as an active radar missile doesn't need to be launched in STT mode, it will travel undetected by the RWR until the missile seeker goes active (too late). Is there any extra feature in the M2000C RWR that you are aware of?
  19. Yup... R-60's are known for their small warhead... But the R-13's shouls be a one punch knock out... But despite all this, I doubt that a single R-60 or R-60M is as weak IRL as it is in DCS. I think that they should be more than enough to bring down a fighter (but not a bomber or a bigger aircraft), which doesn't happen in most of the cases in DCS. So maybe the R-60's and R-60M's need some tweaking...
  20. I would love to see a modern russian aircraft to face the F-18... But not a 2 seater.... Something like a MiG-29M would be awesome...
  21. This version would match the MiG-21.... Not the MiG-21Bis that we have... But it is always better that F-15C vs MiG-21Bis....
  22. Was exactly the first thing I tried after the update... Guess we'll have to wait another week at least...
  23. IIRC, sometime ago they said that they were translating the manuals, and then they would release the module... So, with the english manuals now released, maybe we can expect the module being released in a few days...
  24. OK! So I presume he was talking about you in the video!! Can't wait to try the engine you are creating... Will it support other maps too??
