So no known workaround to getting Multiplayer waypoints on a human WSO's kneeboard? Is there a way to export the values from the router planner into scratchpad or even a list to be written down? I searched the HB discord and didn't find anything there either. Seems like a pretty big oversight! Thanks for the response.

I cannot update my DCS anymore, I do not have enough memory for the update so I removed some maps to have enough room but the update just increases in size by the maps I removed, so it wants to reinstall the maps on update. I got a support ticket and they permanently delicensed the maps and then they had me do the repair. But now the new update is showing it needs 111gb and I don't have enough space so I checked and it reinstalled the maps I had de-licensed. Does anyone know how to permanently remove maps (terrains), not just erase them from the hard drive but remove them so DCS does not reload them.

Does anyone else have issues keeping the P-47 in the air? Whenever I perform an instant mission, the plane loses power and descends. For example, in the instant mission, 'Train Strafe', I will make one pass on the train then I cannot regain any altitude and I crash into a hillside. Also, during free flight I cannot seem to correctly trim the aircraft. I have no similar issues when I fly the A-10. Am I just doing something stupid?

Lately, if I jump in the backseat, find a target, designate it, then jump back in the front seat, Jester immediately drops the target I designated and snaps back to whatever target he was watching before. If I tell him to track the designated target (QDES) he does not track the target i had designated either. I don't recall him doing this before. Am I missing something? I know my designation went through in the backseat because I see the blank symbology i the LANTIRN replaced with the TTG bar and countdown. I also tried undesignating and redesignating but it didn't work wither. v6, boNes

while I agree with 90% of your post, except this line. ALL of these advancements are still buggy and broken. MT - Why do I have to mess with processor affinity? Why are SOME graphics settings in the NVIDIA app and some are in DCS? Why can I not select my parking spot on a carrier? Is ACLS working? I have yet to get it to function repeatedly. Weather -- cloud graphics buggy, fog - buggy). I can still drive through deck crew. Deck operations choke with anything resembling "normal" carrier operations.

Well last night I saw the ticker had counted down to 22 hours and so it's probably about 12 hours now. I'll take your @Peedee word for it and fork out the 2 grand for a 5090. Im really hoping I'm wowed. I'll be giving up more than cash to switch. The Q3 has better lenses, is much more comfortable to wear, has better tracking, and does have hand tracking. With the Slugmouse from @slughead Im able to flip switches in my virtual cockpit and that to me is nearly as valuable as the visuals. I have all kinds of buttons on my WinWing gear and i just dont use it with the Q3 and its hand tracking. But, visuals are king, so in switching, I'll be hoping Pimax gets the hand tracking module out soon or that a Leap Motion will work.

It is strange than how the shrike has zero difficulty hitting a rotating search radar; if it is indeed following the beam, it should be swayed by the rotating beam. That is not the case right now. I can hit a p19 without fail every time, but not the tracking radar. Based on what is described above, a split S would push the tracking beam down, and a lofted shrike, which would be way above the beam, would have zero chance acquiring.

The symptoms are identical as well as the way to cure it, cold reboot, aka disconnect the AC PLUG or flick the rocker switch for 5 seconds. This is KB5063878, it just also affects Samsung drives. If it was 1 drive...maybe...but 4 drives on one day, that is a clear sign of not a single HW issue but a common software issue of some kind, be it UEFI, Bios, Drivers, etc etc.. Thing is, the KB is not uninstallable ! It is shown as installed but not among the ones I can uninstall. Caught between a rock and a hard place. If it gets worse, there will be a 9x Sata SSD order to ship around that issue. It, to my understanding, only affects NVMe and no Sata...or am I wrong.

I am not so sure..... Thing is that many of the big servers aren't using it because is not clear where they want to take this thing. Maybe they are working but the lack of concrete roadmap is telling.

I don't think this is a BIOS issue. I think the issue comes from the various updates DCS has made that inadvertently impacted multi-thread support. Something happened because DCS got nothing but praise when they released an update that specifically addressed a significant improvement to Multi-thread support, and they delivered. Since then I think one update was released in 2024 to address a multi-thread bug but nothing after that. We've all been down this road before where one update fixes A, B, C, D but breaks X. It's not the Devs faults as they can't be expected to beta test every single different configuration out there but when it comes to a vital feature like Multi-thread support, it's a feature that needs to be tested after every update on various machines to ensure compatibility/stability. This is free performance that we cannot use due to a bug in the updates that wasn't there before. Obviously I'm not a DCS dev but if I was one I'd get my hands on a 14900k machine and start running some tests. This does not look like an isolated incident.

Yeah. The main takeaway is that the radar needs to point at the Shrike. Which the SAM has no interest in, it follows you or other aircraft. So that is something you have to keep in mind regarding positioning and similar.

Just in case the Dev Team is unaware of the conflicts with the ILS beacons for the CW Map. I've noticed that when on the Ramp at Hahn AB the Spandehlem ILS Localizer is received (108.10) as this is the default Freq for the Viper on initial startup. In troubleshooting, this also occurs for Air Starts between Hahn and Frankfurt. This also occur if the Bitburg ILS (111.90) is tuned. My guess is the localization radio is set for a wide area transmission rather than a localized beam signal. Currently, Hahn's ILS is programmed to 112.30 for Rwy 03 and 112.00 for Rwy 21. These are invalid ILS system radio frequencies. The ILS system typically operates between 108 to 111.95 in 5 Mhz increments. In fairness, I'm not familiar with Eastern Block Aircraft where the frequency range may be different. I'm not sure if this is a Map issue or a F-16C module issue. I have asked others about this occurrence and received the same results.

Just had this happen on a MP server, 10 GBU-12's loaded, dropping singles and it was the 3rd bomb released as stated above. Level drop, no negative G's. Also I do not have any mods installed.

Not technically a beam rider. It just tracks an emitting radar by its main lobe only. The radar has to illuminate the Shrike's seeker with the Main Lobe for the Shrike to track. This means that my attack profile usually involves a split-s. Remain in line with the axis you fired on.
