Marshallman started following BECOME A BETTER HELICOPTER PILOT
-

Hi Baltic, I'm wondering if you can take a look at this track file and see if I'm doing something wrong? I'm on mission 3. My datalink does not seem to be working. I went to list/E and it looks like it's all set up right. I don't see any other flights on the HSI and I can't get my wingman to show up. It says I'm transmitting? Also I can't seem to hit the broad side of a barn with my GBU12. I have no problem finding the tank with the TGP after entering the coordinates. I have tried multiple times from slightly different angles to make sure I'm not hitting a building or something near the tank. I tried firing the laser right after launch...waiting till 12, 10 and 8 seconds before time to impact and I'm no where near the tank. My last attempt (track file included) I seem to be about a mile off? I've played the FILO campaigns and also tried the instant action AG weapons missions and have had no problem hitting my targets. I did have an issue with the apache after the last update and I'm playing mission 3 after the last update (no issues with mission 1 and 2 which I played before the update). I'm not sure if its a bug issue or something I'm doing wrong....my bet is its me, but maybe a second set of eyes can figure it out? Thoughts? Sorry this isn't going to help but my track file is too big! Not sure why the max size is so small...none of my track files are that small!! Not sure what to do now...any ideas?

Inside Black Shark some of these units are already used (and not only them). Some of them may get reused in FF 29.
-
Exactly the same, navigation computer unit, model M, program 2204.
-
I think I saw something BS, what is the original name in russian?
-

The MiG-29 was equipped with three different navigation system computers: in Russian they are called: "ЦВУ-М(2205)", "ЦВУ" and "ЦВУ-М(2204)". And for these systems there are differences in the procedure for setting navigation during a cold start. That is why this question is of interest.

Most likely CWU-M(2204), because this unit is typical for WP export aircrafts.

MIG-29 confirmed release date September?
Dača replied to The Gryphon's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
One day delay is not a problem at all. Same as you, very surprised. -
MIG-29 confirmed release date September?
CrazyGman replied to The Gryphon's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
I mean sometimes there are complications and a patch might get delayed a day, but based on the rhetoric from Nineline and Bignewy and the hype building on ED's Discord i would at this point say highly likely to be released tomorrow. I'm happily surprised myself. I was fairly sure we wouldn't see it till the end month. Can't really complain about being wrong though. -

That was idea -
Excellent thanks. I can adjust the file to discount the top monitor. Just didnt figure it was that easy heh. And the DCS resolution will just match the 3 main screens and the 2 MFD ones? Basically, set it up like the top one doesn't exist and DCS should display the main viewport on the 3, and the MFDs on the small ones? EDIT: Nevermind, Y will start at the bottom of the topmost (ignored) monitor

Are we certain MiG will drop tomorrow ? -
FLY TOGETHER is a new format in which you can follow the entire mission as a movie, including comments from the developer. This is not only intended to provide insight into the missions and their structure, and in particular the ‘fun factor’, but also to illustrate how much you can potentially learn, not only to master the aircraft and its systems, but also to behave like a pilot. What should you pay attention to? Why is it better to do it this way and not another? You will find answers to these and other questions here. You are also welcome to ask questions or share your opinion with us.

Sorry, it was not intended, just too much copy and paste.

Not true, it's a normal way to land all warbirds at an airfield, including interwar ones that long predate corsair. Fat nosed fighters existed long before the Corsair. IIRC, the US copied the overall pattern from the Brits. I'm not sure it was around during WWI, but in WWII, fighters on land and at sea used the overhead break. What Corsair did was basically a very short final where you rolled out seconds before hitting the deck. That was what they did differently to other aircraft. Others landed more like on an airfield.

Still working on a Mi-8 Campaign for the Syrian map.
