People must have noticed how fast applications or games run when you first install your windows fresh after a format. Well, if you use your computer for work with tons of software and want to still play lomac without any interruptions from other services etc...I recommend doing this::: I actually found this tip at microsoft site before...can't find it now -- Execute the RUN command -- type msconfig -- now select the services tab -- click hide all microsoft services -- now click deselect all -- now go back to general tab -- clear process win.ini and system.ini checkboxes. -- remove the checkmark at load startup items radiobutton..(make the box empty). NOTE:: I normally go back to services and turn on my norton auto protect service ONLY. well..its your choice Now restart computer. Play lomac with this restarted configuration. I felt a definate smoothness compared to normal config. but I cannot garuntee this trick to work. It depends on every setup. ex: a person with a very high end computer would not even be able to notice since he already has enough RAM to run all services and still provide for LOMAC's hungry appetite. I RECOMMEND NOT TO BROWSE any websites or anything in this config since you may not be protected by software firewalls and antivirus. AFTER You FINISH PLAYING::: -- run msconfig -- select NORMAL STARTUP close and restart PC. You are good to go. :icon_jook Cheers.

4x256Mb. I have -no- idea what you'd use 2Gb of RAM for. Are you doing large matrix calculations? If not, 1Gb is just right, and LOMAC is perfectly happy with it. You won't get any better performance out of 2Gb.

Holding down the slew keys doesn't help I was trying by holding down the slew keys for a long time, but I still couldn't break the lock. Also it looks like the lock key doesn't work for me when I try to lock the ground (KC) nearby the targets. Initially I thought that it's because the image moves to fast to allow a lock, but now I realized that even if I keep the plane very steady aiming somewhere nearby the targets, I still can't lock the ground (KC). I can only lock a target (AC) if I move over it, but this is most likely the autolock working, not my Tab key. I didn't touched the default keyboard mapping (I only changed the mapping for my joystick) and the Tab works without problems when locking in a2a or antiradar. Once I reach home, I'll completely remove both lomac and lockon, then install them fresh using only defaults, try again and let you know. Thanks everybody!

All the ML weapons; 29L, 25ML, 25L and Vikhr require you to keep the target locked and laser on until the target is destroyed. The 29T is fire and forget. The anti radar weapons 58 and 25MPU are also fire and forget

It will be interesting to see how they make thigns like the ah-64 and mi-28 since those require a pilot and gunner. I wonder if we will be able to be in both positions and maybe even have 2 people in one online. That would be pretty sweet having one person concentrating on flying as low as possible and evading missiles while the other person is working on getting the hellfires ready to shoot and controlling the gun.
