  1. Using Tacview's static objects function, I added the runways to the 3D terrain. EDIT: Now the glideslopes add-on is available, too. DOWNLOAD Runways Add-on (ZIP 2KB) DOWNLOAD Glideslopes Add-on (ZIP 3KB) To install, copy the "Data" folder (and its content) to where Tacview.exe is. The file structure will be like below: Tacview.dat Tacview.exe Data\StaticObjects\Runways.xml Data\StaticObjects\Glideslopes.xml (Optional) The runway objects are transparent cubes. The cube bottoms are the actual runway surfaces. I made some cubes heights very high to make the runways under the 3D terrain visible. The glideslope cones are angled 3 degrees and have 0.2° height (+/- 0.1°) and 0.4° width (+/- 0.2°). The length is 17km which is the approximate distance to the IAF. I hope you like it.

  3. Yeh Lerxster.... you've got some pretty good core components so you'e in a real wierd upgrade spot. Tell us what you're running that Opteron 146 at and then a real discussion can take place of what you need to do. But if you're just now starting to save...depending on how long that takes...then I think your plan needs to include and Intel Quad Core or soemthing else... It's all about your timeframe
