  2. Just a friendly reminder of the upcoming 169th Panther's bi-Weekly "Black Sea Showdown". Date: Sat Mar 29/08 Time: 20:30 GMT Length: 3 hrs Where: 169th Server via Hyperlobby or direct IP 64.182.122.159 The mission used for the event is the same mission running on the 169th server currently. The goal of this bi-weekly showdown is to promote the Lockon community and generate interest in co-operative online play for this great flightsim. All squadrons and individual "lone wolf" players are welcome with registration not being required. Planes are allotted on a first come first serve basis. Inter-squad pre-planning is encouraged. Also, lone players who would not normally get involved in an organized competition are encouraged to join as well. The last event held on Mar 15th was a great success with over 70 pilots participating. The next event is Apr 12 and then every other week there after. Play Hard, Play Fair!

  3. Make TIR roll axes work so we can keep the view horizontal when we roll the plane. I believe it doesnt need 3d cockpits(?).

  5. The controls are independant, having the collective at max or min doesn't affect the differential pitch control. Although collective and differential pitch use one and the same device (Collective and Differential Pitch Mechanism- CDPM) they don't interefere each other. The two rods that control the colelctive of each rotor via the upper and lower sliders are twisted with left and right threading respectively in the sleeve- with the collective you move the sleeve up-down and the two rods move together in the same direction, with the pedal you rotate the sleeve making one of the rods to 'twist' and other to 'untwist'- they move in opposite directions while the sleve itself is stationary. If the sleeve is in the max up or down position that doesn't disturb it to be rotated. The CDPM is installed on the bottom of the gearbox with the two rods coaxial inside the inner (upper rotor) shaft. This is the rotor mast assmebly of a Ka-32 helicopter, it's a bit different from the Ka-50's but the CDPM is built at the same principle. The CDPM- general view and schematic:

  10. 1. The pedals actually modify the amount of torque produced by each of the main rotor blades. For example, if you push on the right pedal, the controls are moved in such a way that your counter-clockwise rotating blades slightly increase their torque, and your clockwise rotating blades slightly decrease their torque. There is no net change in total lift, but your torque effect has changed, resulting and the aircraft's nose turning to the right. 2. In an aircraft like the Ka-50, it will be impossible to control the aircraft without hydraulics. I can move the controls on an Mi-17 without hydraulics, but it takes just about all the strength I can muster. In flight, a complete hydraulic failure means that the aircraft is uncontrollable, period. In other words, a Ka-50 without "power steering" is going to crash. Only very light helicopters are flyable with a total loss of hydraulic power (some don't have hydraulics at all).

  12. It's obvious You we've got problems with FC1.1! 1.01 worked for U, but when U installed FC1.1 you started having problems. Looks like FC install got corrupted, I had similar issues because of my firewall blocking installation and acccess to .dll files. Is it plain Flaming Cliffs 1.1 or Gold edition?! IIRC (Gold had some problems)... 2nd thing to note is 1.12b Gold patch! No need to install FC1.12b_gold if you have plain FC!

  13. Наши горы уже там есть, все 17 штук. Пять вершин у Бештау и даже автодорога на макушку Машука проложена. Детализация как и в целом по карте, то есть для таких сравнительно маленьких элементов рельефа как лакколиты пятигорья маловата, но похоже, даже очень.

  14. Thank you. I solved my problem with removing the number, so it will possible to fly with onlyone number. Like real mig-29AS. So I hope tomorrow I will release it. I am waitin only for one detail. Link for download will be here:) List of changes: New mig-29AS skin (inspired by real plane introduced before few weeks) Details like EOS strip, IFF antena, and many more New cockpit - Left panel (radio), Right panel (USB), Front panel (NAV instruments in right bottom corner and camera instrument in left top corner) New MFD and ILS panel (under HUD) and Puco is also finishing :D Some screens for better quicklook to chages

  16. А сообщения можно выводить только "для всех" или возможны отдельные сообщения для синих отдельные для красных? Если возможно разделить тогда вообще нет проблем, можно и сообщения о посадке выводить и о уничтожении наземки...
