Hi! all fellow simmers and virtual friends-in-cockpit. In the last few days I have made myself up-to-date with many long interesting posts that I had missed (too much work...). I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU! to ED and its representatives for the best customer information service that I have seen! It is amazing how much you guys DO answer all questions so patiently and precisely. Thanks WAGS for the great producer's notes and all your following precisions. thanks EVILBIVOLfor answering again and again all those questions, and GG and all other testers and partners. Even OLGERD who jumps in once in a while to answer some delicate topic. This is unbelievable and unheard of in recent sim history! (or in this so-money-hungry gaming world...) The level of detail, the realism, the incredible amount of data that is already accumulating in DCS:Black Shark is mind boggling. Dont forget that we are talking here about a game that sells for a few dozen bucks... We are a particularily demanding crowd, as if we were ordering multi-million dollar aircrafts for real. And, patiently, the devs answer all our questions undisturbed. Add to this the recent history of computer development and, looking at EDs projects, in whichever order they come... the next few years, thanks to ED, are simmers paradise! Not with the current engine. The 6 DOF view options makes water droplets unfeasible and still maintain acceptable frame rates. We'll revisit this with the new engine. No water drops are not modeled on the Shkval sensor, that will be for another day. However, we wanted to put the wiper options in now and take advantage of them when we can do rain effects right.

Every now and then I come across postings that makes me smile..:) And here's one that will be in my all time favourites hall of fame..! Why do we like LockOn..? Because we do..! We all know we like LockOn..! We simply wouldn't be here, on this forum, if we didn't. But all of us now being some place in between the "0ld" LO we all love playing, and in waiting in antisipation for the Blackshark to be relased. We are kind of suspended in a state of knowing something better is almost within reach, and practicly tasting the sensations it will give us. And being painfully aware of the fact that IT WILL BE BETTER THAN LOCKON..! But it will NOT BE LockOn..! LockOn has made this comunity.! It has gathered us all for whatever reason we all have.! Being it squadrons, online playing, orgnized Squad vs. Squad challenges, or just the simple joy of having a common "bullseye" for all of us. So that we can share thoughts, ideas and improvements. And actually be heard..! I had NO online gaming experience before LockOn. And don't really play any other games. But hey.. that's just me being a simple guy.! So you can imagine my jaw dropping wjen I first joined a squadron, and saw the amount of work and organisation that was put into running this.. And the level of expertise amongst guys that have no connection to the aeronautical industry at all. I have seen guys working in "on-the-foor" jobs showing a true leadership potential.! Working a 6 ship fighter flight and not missing a beat..! (witch is really strange considering how all you fighter-jocks go on and on and on on TS! It leads info overload for us simple bomber guys:music_whistling:) I have had the true pleasure of flying wingman for someone I have never even seen in real life. And still would consider a friend..! I have come in contact with people from Indonesia to Poland and found them all to be just oridinary guys like me. Thinking ordinary thoughts, and having ordinary problems with extraordinary sollutions.. And it would not have happened without LockOn.! Sure, I would like to say that what I like about LockOn is dropping from 5000m down on a convoy of mixed targets. Dropping my bombs WAY to high.. flatting.. do an inverted immelmann to find myself perfectly lined up on the convoy, and then ingress again with Gunpods blazing taking out the remains.. But I would would be lying..! What I like best about LockOn isn't LockOn at all.. it's you...:thumbup:

That's true, LO is a unique tool that unites people.

For me its a mixture of the game itself, my squad buddies and the community. Some of you guys in here hang around here for years like me, i feel sometimes like i know you in real life even we never met and are oceans away from each other :)

Dude, I've been out of town. Didn't keep track of your work for some time. Just saw your latest posts today. Your panel and especially the backlighting is simply awesome! Hope to catch up with mine in a month or two. Meanwhile, I'd look to yours for inspiration!
