No, "Sniper Pilot" is basically the highest classification a Russian pilot may receive. I'm not sure about how it is now, but in Soviet times there were four grades you could obtain, I think, the last one not being so much a grade like the first 3 but the title of Sniper pilot. Having a Sniper pilot as one of your SME is boast-worthy. ;)

Hi Fudd, thanks for the response. It certainly wouldn't be plagiarism if you gave the author credit, which is what I said I was going to do in my post asking for permission. In other game communities, it is considered a good thing if a map you made is played on lots of dedicated servers. It signifies that the author of the map created something that lots of people like to play and those good maps spread like wildfire in the community and they keep the community engaged over the long run. I see that this community is different and that is very disappointing. I do however understand that a lot of work went into these maps and I appreciate the work that you and others have done here. I will abide by your wishes and not host any of the 159nth maps on my servers. Thanks, Alpha

I seem to recall the 9800GT doing that unless the antialiasing was boosted. Try turning it up in your graphics driver settings. Or was that the anistropic(??) setting. Try AA first. Boost it to max and see what happens. If you are using the simplified Nvidia control panel, then try forcing texture quality to "High quality". Rich

I would say that major part of the whole picture is the attention to the details. When flying a sim what is killing me is when looking outside of the aircraft to see a crappy view... Yesterday I flew one of my first missions in BS and even though I could not do the job, the enjoyment of the flying (as real as it gets on a desk) was great - few elements - The sunset over the mountains worth seeing... the red beacon light reflection on the Vikhr missiles... the shadows on the helicopters... the cockpit lighting...... the list goes on. So after many years dealing with simulators I will say the BS is the most realistic combat simulation for home computer ever made... GREAT JOB!

Yes it will, when those modules come along. It will simulate them better than Falcon has so far. ;) Falcon simulates the F-16 quite well, though there are still a few missing aspects. I really doubt someone who didn't know the system really well would notice, personally. PS: The radar is just one of the onboard devices .... the ABRIS is easily a more complex device to operate than the F-16's radar.

Что всех так жестко подставил, и мне пришлось оказаться не в своей тарелке в роли РП. Упралвять 14-тью самолетами, это капец. Мое место в кабине и в бою, это не мое....я еле до конца досидел(( Весь проигрышь снией команды, это моя вина. Нету опыта, вот таких затяжных полетов, типа стрельнул отвалил. Я привык к лобовому стоклновению. Что ж, будем учиться. В следующий раз, хотелось бы видеть чектие цели и задачи. Что бы перед вылетом не было никаких вопросов. Нужно просомтреть трек, и проработать ошибки. До следующего вылета. Всей синей команде, благодарность, хорошо держались)

В том числе МиГ-29С без Р-77 на крайних пилонах. Будет писаться трек и потом просматриваться, в сучае выявленных нарушений, в зависимости от тяжести, выносится наказание. Предупреждение, ну и самое строгое - лишение права участвовать в проекте ИВС. Вместо этого было принято решение эвакуацию произвести через порт Феодосия. Но - командование "синих" узнало об этом (а красные знают, что синие знают), а также о факте пролета в нужном месте в нужное время возвращающегося с учений в одной из банановых республик стратегического бомбардировщика Ту-160. Обе стороны предпринимают масштабную встречную операцию - а в чем она состоит и чем закончится - зависит от вас. Разделение на синих и красных будет сделано до конца недели. Нужно 2 РП. Ждем всех желающих!

Now that last post makes me say something :) BS is as much realistic as it could be on a PC screen, as far as the physical model of helicopter is conserned. But one thing you have to keep in mind- BS is based upon board "25" Ka-50 prototype, and respectively, it models the systems this particular helicopter has featured. Perhaps the limited serial produced airframes differ from the one we have here. What becomes clear after you play it for a while is that some essential systems for a combat helo are very simple or even missing, while others are very advanced for the time frame of the Ka-50 (developped in late '80s, early '90s). To me, as a combat helo it seems uncomplete, exactly like a test prototype. But even that way it offers huge room for enjoyment.

In my personal opinion, Black Shark models the KA50 with a far higher degree of accuracy and completeness than F4 does the F16. I have no real world experience with either aircraft , but have played both Sim's quite a bit. The systems modelled in the KA50, while significantly lower-tech than the later block F16's , are FULLY realised in the "game" , and integrate in rediculously accurate ways (such as DC Power flow and battery accumulation , radio signal interference.. GPS line of site calculations with the ability to manually check the GNSS Almanac for coverage over an area for goodness sakes!) , not to mention the flight model that Includes aircraft imbalance due to fuel distribution in the tanks! amongst dozens of other variables. Of all of the buttons and switches on the cockpit, I can only think of 3 or 4 that are non-functioning. ...it has windscreen wipers with 3 speeds....!!!!!!! Kithrados, I'd have no issue with fully recommending the sim to you, with a promise that you have NEVER flown anything as realistic and fully realised as this on your PC. ...at least that's the way I see it :)

True, About BS, I flew military heli simulators at MAKS 2007, no difference at all.

Let me tell you a little secret. Falcon4 is no longer the most realistic combat flight sim. :lol:

На данный момент четкое и 100%ное подтверждение пришло от 3-х человек. Это 1. =RF=Ammafrion - МиГ-29 2. =RF=PapaDoc - Су-25(Т) 3. =RF=Bacteroid - Су-25 Не слышно новостей от ещё троих человек. Плюс интересна уже точная и согласованная дата проведения вылета. Ибо влияет.

Миссия есть, Дарк должен был тебе и Максу скинуть брифинги. Летать будем только по ним. В прошлом году первую миссию тоже летали вслепую. + картика к ней есть 2-мя постами выше

Приношу свои извинения, но участвовать в вылете 30-го не смогу :( - полетел жесткий диск и восстановить его к воскресенью скорее всего не смогу. upd. про изменение даты вылета на 12.12.08 прочитал - буду.
