  4. EDIT : NOW FOR SALE......... If you're going to invest a great deal of time in this sim (and let's face it, time is the greatest investment ANY of us can make), then surely it's worth spending a few extra bob on having nice colour manuals and being able to sit down with a cuppa while you inwardly digest the incredible amount of information contained therein? I simply uploaded my PDF manuals to http://www.fileprint.org/uk/index.php and specified the quality of print and the weight of the paper. Within a few short days, the manuals arrived on my doorstep SUPERBLY printed and presented! I then took them down to my local Staples Store and they bound them with steel-wire spiral binders so that the books can be opened at any page and laid flat on a desk. Because of the number of pages in the "realistic" manual, I split it into three books. Chapters 1 & 2, Chapter 3 and Chapters 4-9. Staples finished each one off with a tough plastic front cover and a heavy guage card back cover. Don't ask me how much - just upload your files, choose the quality and the price will appear. It's not exactly cheap, but it is fantastic quality! And no, I don't work for them :). In fact, there may be other companies who are much cheaper. Might be worth shopping around or simply contact your local printing company asking them for the cheapest way to print a colour document from a PDF file. Tom

  5. . LRM 2.0 release no later than April 2009 I was about to release LRM 1.0 as a non-beta version, but as it turns out there were a few more features I wanted to add. Then I figured these new changes made it more like a new mod package than anything else. Even though the mod is pretty much feature complete, there are still fine tuning to be done of each part. As usual the mod is loaded and enforced from server side. Clients do not need to install anything locally. LRM 2.0 will have only one release variant. There will be no separate variants (with varying amount of features included) for some squads. Instead the ability to turn off function by function is added in the configuration file. LRM 2.0 includes: Server Controllable engine spool-up time (as of LRM 2.0) Takeoffs only possible from runways (not taxiways/roads/etc, as of LRM 2.0) Refueling only in parking areas (as of LRM 2.0) (you can get to 700 lbs on rw, in case of flameout) Turbulence mod (Turbulence when low and fast, as of LRM 2.0) Dynamic coalition controlled/owned airfields (as of LRM 2.0, no spool/takeoff at wrong airfield) The ability to enforce special weapons/payloads (No engine spool if loaded those not set as legal, as of LRM 2.0) Reduced chaff numbers (made stricter with LRM 2.0, originally from 1.0) Limited amount of aircraft available, with timed reinforcements (I forgot this is actually an AMRACT feature, not LRM, but will be on rve server) Counters to the barrell exploit (as of LRM 1.0) F-15 IFF (as of LRM 1.0) F-15 Radar elevation follows target(s) TWS & STT, (as of LRM 1.0) Counters to the RadarFloor exploit (as of LRM 1.0) Optional Support for cursor target step mod (Must be activated client side and set *allowed* by server) Demo Video : --> HERE <-- , showing some of the new 2.0 features. This video will serve as documentation for the 2.0 updates from 1.0 until a new documentation is written. Additional credits go to: 44th_GrayGhost for help and ideas making it Boberros for help with the OnlyRunwaysForTakeOff mod 3sqn for ideas on how to solve the indication of airbase ownership Kuky, for excellent job on grabbing parking area coordinates! Andrew/aaa/ for helping me with Russian version localization Anyone I forgot to mention helping me! (give me a pm ;)) .

  7. I am back from LLTM and met several guys from the Il-2 community I usually am in. Who I didn't found there, was Urze. And that was no surprise because his attendance was cancelled: http://www.lowlandtigermeet.com/2007/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=193&Itemid=95 I'm sorry for all who had hope in this day and my try to get some information. I remember when my brother had a very heavy accident and we were informed the same day by authorities that he was flown into hospital and where we could find him. In case Urze has had an accident, I would think the same would happen with his relatives. So I wonder his family is simply not knowing where he is. Or not caring? It seems there is no missing record of his person too. His Youtube account was used inbetween too, by whomever. His answering machine seems to have several Gigabyte of memory 'cause it never fills to an end while there are some people are trying to contact him. There's a small possibility this could all be explained with a reason - but this possibility has fallen under 1 % in my view. I myself don't see a single reason why it should not have been possible at least to post a two-liner here, that he is ok, busy but working on the things or that he can't fulfill his job and going to refund the people. Even a very small note is always possible. While loading a Youtube video maybe ;) So people don't worry, about Urze and about their money. So people were not bothered like some are now - understandable.

  12. I'm not sure what it is you think I should be letting go of. The post you are replying to was a fairly simple, straightforward statement of what I would be willing to spend money on. Prior to this reply, I've posted exactly two times on the subject. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=656525&highlight=English#post656525 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=666710&highlight=English#post666710 I intentionally refrained from chiming in on the more recent thread/debate since I didn't see anything good coming out it. E.D. announced their decision on what they had made available, and I respect that. Having been a business owner in the past, I am accutely aware that in such cases it is impossible to please everyone. There were a number of factors contributing to their decision, and it was understandable. No need for me to pipe up with a complaint... I would just continue using the printed copy of the .PDF manual I already have when the motivation hit me to put up with doing the visual/mental gymnastics. Then this thread/poll came up with a legitimate question. OK, a new opportunity arrived to possibly get something that I would value enough to spend over $60 on. I said my piece, and like before, I would have just left it at that. There has been a great deal of rancor over in that other recent thread. Some of the posts in there appear to be a lot more about preaching at others about how the simulation should be used, rather than what is in the best interest of E.D. and its customers. I understand some people wanting to use the sim with cyrillic labels. Making it out to be a superior methodology or somehow more correct/valid than other people playing with english labels is a bit ludicrous and shortsighted. What is good for them is good for them. That's fine. But getting preachy about it toward others does not serve to bring more customers into the fold. If the purist simmers think that espousing such positions is good for the community, then it is more likely to stay a smaller community. *That* does not serve to encourage E.D. or other software companies to invest the resources into creating simulator software for us. I also understand those folks wanting cyrillic labels in the manual pics. Well, now they have them in a printed manual (B&W). They also have them in color in the original .PDF. They have been served. Will the rotor blades permanently fall off everyone's masts if E.D. publishes a manual that has pics with english labels? Oh, the horror! I made my earlier statement in this thread because that it what *I* would be willing to pay extra dollars for. I will now point out that (contrary to some claims in that debate thread) the poll running in another thread about what labels the english speaking north americans are running indicates 66% english as I write this post. I am not going to sit here and claim that represents equivalent sales of manuals with english labels. I have no way to know that, and frankly, it is E.D.'s concern to figure that out (if they are interested). I'm simply saying a bunch of other folks should probably stick to making their own case, and refrain from projecting for everyone else. *My* case is that english labels would add value for me, such that in a nice printed manual (ring bound or spiral bound, they each have their advantages) I would be willing to spend $80, or possibly even more. In *my* case, having to deal with cyrillic character conversions is extra work that I don't find enjoyable. It detracts from my enjoyment which translates to less time spent studying/using the simulator. It also happens to make it harder to recruit other acquaintences of mine to join our community. E.D. will do what they think is best. If it adds enough value for me, I'll buy it. If it doesn't, I'll remain O.K. with that, and continue using what I already have. Regards,

  13. Dzen, я тут слегка подредактировал, а то в первой версии немного перегружено получилось. Попробуй этот вариант, и там уже сам выбери который лучше подойдет. http://file.qip.ru/file/82335333/e04a9ae4/Zurab2.html

  15. Some people are just willfully ignorant. All he wants to do is live in the past and tell the world that because his country shot down 1 stealth aircraft, his country is #1. I always thought of Belgrade as America's Bombing Range and Training Facility for noobs. Thats why they havent sent any B-1B's or B-2A's over there. It was just an unfortunate training accident that got the F-117...maybe even a practical joke presented by the zoomie frat squad to the noob F-117 pilot flying his 10th mission over there because he forgot to warm up the coffee before the flight.

  18. Ok, I’ve installed this beast. Actually my F15c with Walmis 3d model and Tattis Tank, combined with the simmod a10, well all seems aligned so far without modifying / replacing the xml file. Awesome eye candy. I can’t thank you enough for this MOD. Only thing missing is a high detail 3d model of the mig and Su33:smilewink: Again thanks 3GO and all involved making this bird shine.

  20. No performance hit is not proof SLI works in DCS. You need to show there is a FPS difference with SLI switched on compared to off.
