  1. Hi, Just a bump to this thread because I was going to post about the same question. ¿Is there any IFF indication in the F-15 when using AACQ modes? Yesterday night I was playing on a server (can't remember which one...) where vulching was allowed (np with that...), and our (Blue) airbase was under constant attack. Hostile fighters around the airbase launched missiles to me even before I could retract my gear, so if I was lucky enough to dodge them I (and the others too) had the time only to activate VS/Bore modes and lock the first A/C around and launch a missile back, without being sure if it was friendly or not. Obviously I downed some friendlies and some friendlies downed me ;). In understand that this is normal in such a WildWest situation (Pilotasso dixit, IIRC), but this sure hadn't been happened (at least for my part) if I had been riding a RF fighter. Or maybe I've missed something for the F-15...? Best regards, Asterix
  2. P.S. Is the same as this one? http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=8539&highlight=key+card I've pointed to this one from another forum and it really looks great. Thank you very much. Best regards, Asterix
  3. Hi, I was wondering if anyone had designed a keyboard map for 1.1 similar to that one someone created for 1.02. I'm not talking about the keyboard reference Word document under Docs folder, but instead a keyboard plot with every key's function painted inside, and using different colour for Ctrl/Alt/Shift uses. The former one was very practical, and I always had it on my table along with my X-45 profile schema. Best regards, Asterix
  4. Great idea, TY. I'll use the FBP to create a table correlating A/C types and distances and signal strengths. Cheers, Asterix
  5. Thanks a lot. Really nice video. Cheers, Asterix
  6. Ok, thanks a lot. ¿Any clue about how to correlate radar strength signals on RWR with A/C distances? Cheers, Asterix
  7. Britglider, could you elaborate on that? It's first time I hear that I must somewhat SET the estimated range to the target. ¿How is this performed? I usually simply launch the HOJ shot when my RWR shows a radar signal strong enough (according to what I remembered from 1.02) after locking on the jam strobe. But I usually miss, so probably there's something I'm doing wrong... ;) Best regards, Asterix
  8. Yep, the link is dead. Does anybody have a mirror for it...? Seems an interesting video according to comments. Cheers, Asterix
  9. Hi, Your da man, mate. Thank you very much, this is exactly what I was looking for. Cheers, Asterix
  10. *bump* Any ideas about the latter part (see previous post...)? Cheers, Asterix
  11. I'll try that later. TY very much. Cheers, Asterix Edit: I tried it, but what you say refers to the fixing the snap views, which aren't te same thing. I tried also what TekaTeka suggested (altering zoom max / min) and it works fine, but I'd want also to alter the VERTICAL angle used for Center View position (the one that reverts when pressing 5). I think that currently it looks somewhat to high for me, and I'd like to tune it down so I can cover better the RWR of the SU-27 without using a so wider angle. Any ideas...? Best regards, Asterix
  12. Thank you very much. Rep inbound ;) Asterix
  13. Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before (I've tried to search but no matches...), but I've just bought FC 1.1 now after some months without playing LOMAC and I can't remember if I could "graphically" adjust the default view angle inside the cockpit. Maybe it's me, but the current one (at least inside the SU-27) is somewhat pointed high so I need to use a wider zoom to see the RWR (which is something useful to monitorize ;)...). I believe that this view angle (the one the game reverts when you press Num5 inside the cockpit) can be adjusted by editing some LUA file, but I was just wondering if there's a way to do it inside the cockpit itself, then pressing a key to fix it. Best regards, Asterix P.S.: if the answer is somewhere the manual feel free to answer with the standard 'RTFM'... :D
  14. Hi, They seem really cool, man. What about the "electronics" part, though? Are you planning to use any 3rd party controller card or a circuit of your own design? How do you plan to connect them to the PC? Game port, USB? This seems a very interesting project. Best regards, Asterix
  15. Yep, sure. But as the discussion soonly turned to RL behaviour I completely oublied the initial purpose of the thread :). Anyway, your initial question was also interesting. I have sometimes also wondered myself if keeping the lock after the missile going active helped in any way or not. Best regards, Asterix
  16. Ooooops! Then now I answer myself with a RRTFFPA (Re-Read The F*** First Post Again) :D :D. Cheers, Asterix
  17. They were talking about RL, not about the game. So, unless you have access to some classified stuff, the RTFM answer is completely out of place here ;). Cheers, Asterix
  18. Hi, You forgot 'Y - Tanker Menu', so the QWERTY line goes complete ;) Cheers, Asterix
  19. Hi, IIRC, the big X on HUD warns the pilot that he's about to crash if he doesn't change course. It appears i.e. when performing a dive and dangerously getting near the ground. There's also a warning sound, I think. This is at least what happens in the F-16 according to F4 manual, but I assume that for the F-15 is probably the same. Cheers, Asterix
  20. Ok, I didn't know it, although I figured that modern radar / missiles would use a better (and stealthier) system. Thanks for the info, anyway. Cheers, Asterix
  21. Hi, This has been explained in other threads (IIRC in the sticky FAQ): this function has been removed from the SU-25T because that plane is "button-trimmed" in RL, so with the AFM they've choosen to simulate it "as is". Cheers, Asterix
  22. Hi, According to F4 manual, A/C radar signal changes from the usual Hi/Me/Lo PRF mode to a "Continuous-Wave" mode (CW) after firing a SARH missile. This is what RWR devices detect as the "Launch" signal. I don't know the reason of this behaviour, though. Cheers, Asterix
  23. Hi, I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that you can download the add-on using whatever computer you wish to, then copy the downloaded file into your "playing" machine by any means (network, CD, etc...) and install it there. The Starforce "hardware" number calculation is performed at the moment of your register it, this is the first time you run the game. Then you must enter your purchase number, the activation takes place, etc... No machine binding is performed during downloading. Cheers, Asterix
  24. Re: Button: Clear all joystick functions (Small Feature Requ Completely agree :D . Cheers, Asterix
