In case others are put off by the totally crap looking example , the actual one I would envisage looking more natural , with a runway , tents , maybe some trees on the sides etc and will be significantly smaller lol . I'd imagine it will also be destructable and hence actual airfields can be destroyed with sufficient firepower... but I would need some ed support to enable cratering etc as I am no modder , learning as I go here. Thanks for support chaps and again , the main aim is to add extra airfields and this would be ancillary to this main request as noted by Phil styles at the start if this thread.

  10. ive an issue imprting edm would have helped with ... im addin a custom object ( large plane area to act as a movable airfield ) planes can he added on it as ground start but if i add static ovjects they take thy z reference point as ground levl and hence are lower than the mesh . I only exported my shape from blender as 1 ide , would 2 sided solve this ? thanks in advance , new to all this...
  11. so after some help from those mr knowledable than i , inland normandy trees and objects can be removed , it appears those near the coast are baked in for about a mile .... is this a bug ? cheers.

I've managed to add some basic landable airfields using blender and its edm exporter , if possible could these be added as an official asset or could a game grade version of this be added ( it's really basic but will solve a lot of issues regarding mission planning and should be an easy win for you devs ) also , I've found a bug on normandy the remove trees and objects trigger zone and trigger doesnt work here. Cheers.

  14. im tryining to install a custom object but it wont let me do it from savedgames/ mods and dcs gives warning from main game folder , anyone have an ideas? the install lua for the file is this ; am i supposed to put paths where it says current mod path? Name of your Mod inside DCS declare_plugin("Static Object Example", { installed = true, dirName = current_mod_path, version = "2.5.6 Open Beta", state = "installed", developerName= "Grajo", info =_("Basic Static Object Example "), } ) ---Mounts relative path to EDM models mount_vfs_model_path (current_mod_path.."/Shapes") ---Mounts relative path to Textures mount_vfs_texture_path (current_mod_path.."/Textures/") --List of models/props to be loaded.   16. Agree with op , this lack of adjustment seems off , the indicate speed also looks like it could be inaccurate , mission Last night had 22kts ground wind , 42 at 1600ft but it felt more like 60mph+ ... can ed confirm ?
  17. no music option is in zip battle sounds menuNOMUSIC , will update with other songs as choice too to have these move them to Mods\aircraft\AIRCRAFT TYPE HERE\Skins\1\EditorMusic and rename to MainMenuLoop.ogg . base music file being uploaded now too .
  18. Can do , will prob use a different track but I'd typically run that in the background while flying as it stops when you load in . May make the template files available on demand so others can add to the library ... as long as no one tries any extremist stuff lol . Ogg youtube downloader is your friend as well , dead easy to download and rename it to mainmenuloop.ogg Theres another one I released for the huey yesterday and its vietnam era music , war sounds and loud huey effects... my favourite so far so may redo the allies with plane sounds for each if I can get hq enough sound files.   19. Cheers , talking to bignewy about this so hope to get some good stuff working in future .... pita to set up but loving it lol... weird thing is I spend longer at home.screen now to hear the music vr hangar shows in f10 map screen in game though which is cool.

  21. This is an overhaul of all warbirds vr scenes and ui music and screens , still in beta but will update as I go. Install using ovgme and some mods have multiple music files that can be changed , eg germans have a battle ambience 3 hours long , erika , luftwaffe march and lily marlene , each can be changed by moving files.
