  1. More Fast Jet Performance goodness...
  2. He's a pilot though...
  3. If you can get 8, 16 or better still, 32gb of RAM, that will help a lot. What gfx card are you running?
  4. I'm sorry for your loss, but to keep on topic, and a wish... I hope the low level textures are far better than have been released thus far. Amazing from Angels 15, but not too good low down, as far as I've seen. Hope to be proved wrong.
  5. Some of the textures looked a little janky when low down which makes me hesitate. We all know how even new sims terrain can look like hot dog mess when at low altitude. Hopefully it was youtube compression but time will tell.
  6. It looks amazing from high altitude... I'd love to see some gfx of low level terrain flying, as that's where most flying will be done.
  7. Make sure your LGA1700 mounting adaptor is seating properly, and thermal paste is sitting on the whole thermal plate. There are reported issues with AIO coolers not contacting all of the 12th gen die surface area.
  8. So not that one then! OP, it's pretty easy to look at online reviews TBH.
  9. My post some months ago regarding how CIG are working towards Vulkan and Gen12 rendering was deleted. If you search for "Star Citizen ISC Vulkan" or similar, the Star Citizen devs explain the whole process of dragging a (still developing) code into Vulkan etc. It's rather brilliant and way above my pay grade.

    Plane Completion?

No air force, manufacturer or software suite producer would ever allow a 100% complete rendition of their stuff. Same as MSFS modules, or train simulation software, and for that, we have to be thankful.

    Any news?

    Yes, that's probably it thanks.

    Any news?

Hmm, textures look poor and the opening shot looked bad. And sprawling towns just don't exist in the Falklands?! Small settlements maybe, but some of those pan shots looked like Glasgow council estates. Plus all the US stuff...should be RAF etc. Just sayin'...it WAS a teaser video.
  13. Yes, thanks for that. I guess it's what feels nice with the rudder pedals. Thanks for the inspiration! Fly safe
  14. @jskiboDid you use a car bucket seat for your build? I can get one dirt cheap and wondered how low to the ground you sit them? They'll be a good option for a butt kicker etc?
  15. It's like Ikea, it just makes sense!
  16. Yes, but it enables a scrub like me with an old PC be able to squeeze much more FPS out of the game than now, and anything is a grab right now brother.
  17. It's a work in progress, as NineLine said...
  18. It would be awesome to get some sound files of crew in more allied accents for all roles, plus French, German, Italian etc for the axis stuff.
  19. The Storm of War WW2 server is the most populated in DCS on a regular basis. Have a look at Philstyle's videos. Growling Sidewinder has shown his new WW2 server testing on YouTube today and it looks fantastic too. There is far more fun (and skill) in manoeuvring a warbird into firing position and trying for a kill than pressing a missile button from miles away.
  20. The cockpit fogged up! The full report is the September 28 2011, F-16 report here at https://www.airforcemag.com/docs/type/accident/#2011
  21. Many game teams are in the process of ditching DX, thankfully! Vulkan and Gen 12 can't come soon enough to DCS and Star Citizen. I'm hoping Linux will be an option after the switch.
  22. Thanks for the great diagram and aircraft it was used on! This sent me down a google rabbit hole and discovered a large number of these gun sights were surplus by 1945 and bought up by optics engineers and science outfits to use as collimators in various science equipment. This explains why my friend had this in a box of spectroscope parts. Very interesting.
  23. I was given a box of optics/spectroscope parts etc from a uni professor friend on their retirement. This gunsight was in the box and I hope someone could shed light on it's date, use etc. It has 01272 stamped under the optic on the front. Thanks in advance, 72Stu
