  1. Thank you! I'll grab it in the morning, as I dont recall it off the top of my head, but significantly less than you would expect. (I remember being pleasantly surprised last time I looked.) Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. If you are former military, SolidWorks has a deal for $25 license for a full educational license as well, if you want to learn another CAD program. I prefer SolidWorks, though I am a bit slanted, I use it every day for the day job. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. Of the free stuff, Fusion 360, hands down. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks! I have some more work to do on it, but Deadman let me know about a real inboard throttle grip on eBay so we snagged that. Should be able to extrapolate the outboard throttle grip pretty easily once we have the inboard modelled. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. So just wanted to post a couple WIP renders of the in-progress left console. Basically, the main structure is made from a combo of .75 and .25 MDF, while the console faces/rails are printed out of PET. This should give an extremely durable console, though I wouldn't suggest stepping on your consoles.
  6. This is a fantastic post David. Thanks. I wish we could sticky this.
  7. Awesome follow up Jabbers. Between your and AEWs videos, I have improved by leaps and bounds. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. The DCS pit is not dimensionally accurate, so no, real switch position will not correlate to in game switch position. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. The really big thing that stands out to me is that the CAG swaps for a junior pilot for the most dangerous mission. That's ****ing outstanding leadership.
  10. Truth! And the other is 0 to Angels 60 in no time flat. Having an absolute blast!
  11. Eh, everything I've read in the manual states everything should be done IAW BRC, not box lineup. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. If you dont, your tires like to blow. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  13. Looking fantastic Warhog. You continue to serve as an inspiration for my project. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. According to CNATRA P-1211: Carrier Qualification, Flight Training Instruction:
  15. Good catch. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. We actually have a ton of moving parts at the moment, and making some good headway. L/R Essential Circuit Breakers and Canopy switch box are complete. I am starting work on structure in earnest, and RandomTroubledMind is making a push on flight controls. The current plan is a totally custom throttle, with servo driven autothrottle. Stick will have a longitudinal control servo, and will use the upcoming TM grip. I'm also excited to say we will be using the MFG Crosswinds with a custom pedal for rudders, and we have been talking to Milan at MFG about how to integrate them into our pit. Unfortunately, I'll be out of pocket on Reserve duty for most the month of July. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. Here is the updated CL with inputs throughout the thread. I'll be integrating this into my master F/A-18C Checklist I am building. Holding pattern: 2000ft, 250kts, 5nm left hand circle. TACAN to 55X, Box TACAN on HSI, Set CRS to BRC. HSI to 10nm range, RALT to 370, HUD to RALT Drop hook, set bypass to carrier, anti-skid off. Pattern Entry: 5nm aft, 800ft, 250kt IAS: Approach just right of carrier, check deck for clearance. Downwind break: 1nm forward, 3.5g to midpoint of level break. 250kts by midpoint. Speedbrake as required. At 250kts, drop gear and full flaps. End turn at 1.1-1.3nm from centerline of carrier. Downwind leg: 1.1-1.3nm parallel to carrier. 600ft, Trim to On Speed, Cage HUD, Landing Checklist Complete. Abeam (See light through aft elevators): Begin approach turn. Approach turn: 600ft, On Speed, 27-30* AOB, -200 to -300VSI 135: -300 to -400VSI 90: 500ft, On Speed, -400 to -500VSI 45 (Crossing wake of ship): RALT warning heard. Rolling into groove: Power on/off (Arrest decent), uncage hud, groove 15-18 seconds. Call ball: <Side number>, 18, Ball (or Clara), Fuel state. Short Final: Fly ball to touchdown. Touchdown: MAX power 3 sec. Chop throttle, raise hook, fold wings, clear box. Bolter/Go-Around: MIL/MAX Power, Climb to 600, turn to downwind maintaining interval with traffic.
  18. We continue to target a Q4 release, though ultimately it will be released when we as a team are comfortable with the quality of the TDP. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. I'm not sure what you are asking about for VR? This is a physical/real world item. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks! Will update. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. Working on a small checklist for my sim. Just want to make sure I captured everything right for CASE I landings. This is based between Jabbers and AEWs videos. If you have a correction, please state your source. Holding pattern: 2000ft, 350kts, 5nm left hand circle. TACAN to 55X, Box TACAN on HSI, Set CRS to BRC. HSI to 10nm range, RALT to 370, HUD to RALT Pattern Entry: 5nm aft, 800ft, 350kt IAS: Drop hook, set bypass to carrier, anti-skid off. Approach just left of carrier, check deck for clearance. Downwind break: 1nm forward, 3.5g to midpoint of level break. 250kts by midpoint. At 250kts, drop gear and full flaps. End turn at 1.1-1.3nm from centerline of Mother. Downwind leg: 1.1-1.3nm parallel to Mother. 600ft, Trim to On Speed, Cage HUD. VVI should align to crotch of ship. Call ball: <Side number>, 18, Ball (or Clara), Fuel state. Short Final: Fly ball to touchdown. Touchdown: MIL power 3 sec. Chop throttle, raise hook, fold wings, clear box.
  22. Approach mode ATC is not yet implemented. From NATOPS:
  23. I've observed the behavior of it not seeming to be magnetically actuated as it should be within the parameters within the NATOPS.
  24. I'm sitting at 14 bolters, two ramp strikes and 4 traps. (2x 3 wire, 1x 1 wire, 1x 4 wire.) Trying to figure out what "On Speed" correlates to in KIA at various points in the pattern.
  25. Correct. Disable AA or AG Master Modes, and NAV mode is enabled automatically.
