Definite +1. Thanks Wags and team! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

No. We have no plans to sell any of this. This will be a freely available (for noncommerical use) design package for people who want to build their own. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

There very easily could be different versions of the AMPCD and/or software load. I don't have a definitive answer, but nothing I've read indicates you can change the color on it in Lot 20.
-
We pulled down the download packages as some redesign was necessary. Once I receive the boards and components of the latest design and I test them, I will repost them for download.
-
Anyone have any more detailed checklists available for this other than what's available from the NATOPS?
-
We took some time to focus on electronics, and have ordered a bunch of prototypes of the main controller boards - the ABSIS NANO and ABSIS MEGA. I'll be building them when they arrive along with all the components, and testing them and starting some software work. These boards will aid any pitbuilder who wants to use DCS BIOS - they are not Hornet only. A lot has been happening. That said, things will be a little slower this month as everyone is busy RL, and I'll be travelling most the month for the day job.
-
That is a pretty good assumption. You don't have to spend an absolute fortune on either however.

Hey guys, my latest rev of the ABSIS (Arduino Based Simulator Interface System) boards are going to be available soon (under creative commons, you will need to order the boards yourselves with the provided Gerbers and BOMs.) They are a shield for a Nano and Mega, supporting RS487, bus in/out connectors (polarized 3 pin - A-GND-B), power bus connector (GND, 3.3V, 5V, 12V,) and up to 3x 12V PWM driven MOSFET outputs. (Was planning one channel for backlighting, and up to 2x solenoids to drive solenoid tripped switches.) The MEGA board can be configured as a 487 master. They are designed for utilizing DCS-BIOS, though you can use whatever control software you like.

Not a bad idea AJ. I'll discuss it with the team, though development will slow for the next month or so - all of us have some significant RL events occurring in March for work/family/etc.

Using "throttle for GS and stick for AOA" when landing
jrsteensen replied to LJQCN101's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Yes it does. Also autoland. :music_whistling: -
AJ, I had forgotten about that option. I'll go with voice comms for AI comms. Thanks!
-
They are not yet ready for release to the public. We are working diligently on them, but do not yet have a projected date for release. We are still looking for a webmaster to start building our site.
-
I highly doubt it. A F/A-18C+ or E is a whole different cockpit and software. It would be a whole new module. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

Something a little less exciting - the SIM CNTL Panel. Still not sure how to address AI radio commands. I am considering reordering the view. positions. HUD is position 1, I may stick MAP on position 2, and EXT on position 8 for quick access. I am definitely open to suggestions on this however. Row #1 HEAD TRK: PAUSE/NORM/CTR - (ON)-OFF-(ON) TIME: FAST/-/SLOW - (ON)-OFF-(ON) TOGGLE: LABEL/-/NVG - (ON)-OFF-(ON) Row #2 GAME: PAUSE/NORM/FREEZE - ON-OFF-ON MODE: PFLT/NORM/MAINT - ON-OFF-ON (LOCKING) VIEW: ROTARY - 8 POS, 45 DEG -HUD (LALT+F1) -CKPT (F1) -CHASE (LCTL + F2) -EXT (F2) -MAP (F10) -FLYBY (F3) -WPN (F6) -ENMY I will likely replace the GND PWR panel with the SIM PWR panel on the left console as well. GND PWR is not something I will ever use, and I think very few people ever will, so why not make it the easily accessible PWR control for the sim?

Good evening! I would love to see the ability to download and demo modules. Say a fixed 20 hours of the module before it relocks. For example, I want to buy a new module, but I cannot decide between the F-5 and the Mirage. I would love the opportunity to try both out for a bit, and make a more informed purchase about which I would enjoy.

For the DDI and other in cockpit displays, you can get away with splitting them out to a relatively cheap second video card. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

So a small update, just to illustrate how we can make pitbuilders life a little bit easier: An idea I had, and we are going to see how to implement:
-
My interpretation of what was stated was not that there wouldn't be training mission, it just may not be included with EA. Which makes sense, because they will just have to remake them once the Hornet is feature complete. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

Warthog Throttle Ministick dead?
jrsteensen replied to jrsteensen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
So, decided to give it one more try, rebooted PC, unplugged throttle, and ran through the procedure again. I have my ministick back! Woohoo! Thanks MX22! -

Oh, yes. It's all connected right. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Warthog Throttle Ministick dead?

Properly meaning: disconnecting the throttle, running the utility, plugging in the throttle, and running through the procedure, and unplugging/replugging it? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -

Tried running it last night. Unfortunately, did not bring my ministick back to life. :/ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
We may be transitioning all PCB design from KiCAD 4 to 5 once it is stable, but that remains to be completely determined. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
