What do the gyros in the ATGM sight do exactly?
MadJiitensha replied to IronChancellor's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
From bad russian translation (google). Someone jump out with same conclusion and short answer is: Its like its should be and its correct. About those degrees, Theres that translation i mention. Its Dev itself. Pilotmi8 September 6th 2.5 degrees per second is the speed of the missile "catching up" behind the line of sight in terms of energy capabilities and rudders. ATGM can only realize up to 7 units of overload (for comparison, the R-73 has 42 units!), And then at the stage of 3-5 seconds of flight. At a later time, a smooth drop in the available overload to approx.2.5..3.0 units to a range of 4 km. This is at a speed of 350-420m / s at this stage. That is, there is all the data to calculate the angular velocity of the rocket. And technically, you can turn the line of sight much faster. and yes - if, while hovering, the commander must tilt the nose down to fire (as in the example), then the operator must "work out" exactly the same upward angle of the launcher PN. This is exactly how it works. IN REALITY I mean" -
Aiming angles for manual ranging. Or weapon range table.
MadJiitensha replied to MadJiitensha's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I use a automatic ranging with manual angle. For example i want to engage target from 3km horizontal flight, speed 250km/h I know that s-8kom will need 2 20' angle setup. Turn on automatic range but leave solution manual. It will give you approx distance to target. When in range just put pipper on target and release salvo. Only problem i have with s13d accuracy. Just be aware that range is taken from helicopter angle and altitude, i use fixed central dot to measure distance -

Unfortuantelly not much about pods, there is how to start it. But no manual range. -
Wellp... good for us that mi family helis in dcs are maded and tested by ex-pilots and curent pilots of those machines. Youtube "prove" that earth is flat too you know?

Mi24 make me want updated FM for mi8 too. Its so nice to feel that pedals arent just for take-off, landing. Oh and multiplayer, just for remainder.
-
I mean i hope those are spotlights right? Mi8 have best in game as actually lighten up place where you point them. Dunno like in Hind. Are those spotlights?
-
Just use that? But i would recommend to not use any. As all you need its set up them on 100 and leave it. During emergency if you will survive long enough youll swith it off them anyway.

reported Frame Rate Stutters While Powered On
MadJiitensha replied to Solid84's topic in Bugs and Problems
On 3d is even worse, i stopped use it since it can drop from 45fps in VR to 20is. And make me sick in minutes. -
Game stays on in background and only way to switch it off is by task menager > end process. I notice it by discord status staing on after hours i left game. And its stills use pc processing power.
