  1. Here is the third mission - looking at using ARBS for high altitude dive bombing and looking at how Rockeyes work with the Harrier Happy to have any feedback and also any suggestions for flying the Harrier. It has been an interesting project learning to fly this aircraft.
  2. Mission Files All, I am working my way through the missions in this series and turning them into playable missions. The first two are available here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311637/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311399/ If you haven't found it already there is a mission thread as well - here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=281393 where you can post your results or have discussion. Thanks
  3. The Second Mission is Up The second mission in the series - Bridge Attack is up! In case you have forgotten here's how it looked: Have at it and post your scores here!
  4. To be honest, I was a little surprised (and impressed) that mine did.
  5. So glad someone got it. I thought it was obvious and then I ran it by my kids (who are in their 20's) and they looked at me like I HAD LOST MY MIND. And I started to worry. Of course, my wife got it as soon as I said it. for the record, I was 11 when it came out.
  6. I'm going to go with Goalpost 1, Yeah that's it. Planned it that way all along... :music_whistling:
  7. For others struggling with the reference:
  8. Well, with a bit of help from dedicated play testers we are getting there. The second mission is taking a bit of time to fine tune, I think they will go faster after that.
  9. The Trench Here's the latest installment in the Haiphong Harbour series of videos. Once again we are playing bait, but this time we are flying low and fast to keep the flak of our backs - it'll be just like Beggar's Canyon back home! :helpsmilie: Please tell me SOMEONE gets the cultural reference!
  10. The Trench The latest in the series. Once again we are playing bait, but this time we are flying low and fast to keep the flak off our backs. Just like Beggar's Canyon back home (tell me someone gets that reference :helpsmilie:)
  11. Great Idea! Thanks for Sharing
  12. Flak Busters. My latest A-4E video. Rockin' the Rockeyes this time.
  13. Flak Busters. Who ya gonna call?
  14. Jumpin In Jump Jet It's one thing to read about it. It's another to give it a try - even in simulation. It's what DCS is all about for me.
  15. Episode 2 Join Sidekick as he waits with his squadron mates for the balloon to go up in Saudi in late 1990. In this episode we come to grips with the new fangled ARBS bombing sensor. With some decent results. Enjoy! Feedback always welcome. Let me know what you like and what you don't. I would love some suggestions on what systems to try next.
  16. Skyhawk Video - The Bait Bites Back Here's the next video in the A-4 Series. This time we are playing decoy during an Iron Hand mission. Check it out to see how we do dodging missiles. BTW - if you are enjoying these videos, please subscribe to the channel. As always feedback is welcome.
  17. I have been making some videos for the A-4 called "Haiphong Harbour" Today I'm branching out with a new video series about an AV-8B pilot during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. They are a bit educational but mostly just for entertainment. Please enjoy and let me know what you think.
  18. The Gathering Storm All, I'm still working on more A-4 videos, but I decided to branch out and try the AV-8B as wells. Turns out that it replaced the A-4 in UMSMC service in the late 80's. Here's the first episode, I started a separate thread for these videos here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=281638 Here's the first episode
  19. DUDE! Nice work. That's a score to beat. Anyone?
  20. I have been making some videos for the A-4 called "Haiphong Harbour" Today I'm branching out with a new video series about an AV-8B pilot during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. They are a bit educational but mostly just for entertainment. Please enjoy and let me know what you think.
  21. Thanks so much for the feedback. I do try to make the narration clean and easy to follow. I am not, and never have been, a military pilot - although I thought about it when I was younger. I was a reservist (in the artillery) for more than 10 years when I was in university. But that was almost 30 years ago. As far as profession goes - I have done a few things in my career. The most interesting of which was working for and then running a small company that worked on the space shuttle and International Space Station. As part of this work, I did spend a bit of time working in Mission Control - I guess that and the military background mean that I have some working knowledge of voice procedure and things like that. Since you ask, if you would like to know more - I actually have a podcast about working in space. I am in the process of converting the podcast episodes to videos - you can find them on my YouTube channel along with the DCS videos. Here is the latest one. (Sorry for the non-DCS post!)
  22. Hey All, Just thought I'd let you know that the first of the "Haiphong Harbour" episodes is up on the user files server. If you're looking for some new A-4 content, give it a try. There is a discussion thread here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=281393 The misison video is here: BTW - The latest video in the series (Episode 10) is here. Working on making downloadable versions of all of the missions eventually. Support and encouragement will definitely help make that happen! Let me know what you think.
  23. Here's the latest installment. Going deeper into enemy territory this time!
  24. Hey guys, the mission includes an in-game scoring system. If you do try the mission, why not post a screen shot of your results here. Let's find out who the real Scooter-jocks are!
