  1. Thank you, great to hear you enjoyed it!
  2. Most likely missed a step or have the radio set incorrectly. Can you describe the steps you took during return to base?
  3. Good spot! That one seems to have been missed by everyone for months. Thanks for pointing it out.
  4. Data link is a Viper bug in the recent update, I'll link the fix below. As for M8, I've just trawled through the triggers and it looks like you missed the comms with Sentinel after killing the second SA-8. Kills seems to have been triggered as the F10 options were removed and comms triggered, after this you would have had a message to contact Sentinel and press spacebar, I would guess you either missed this or accidentally cancelled it (which it is possible to do if you press backspace).
  5. Sounds like something got corrupted, maybe from a mod. But glad it's sorted
  6. Have you got any mods installed? If so I suggest removing and running a repair.
  7. Thanks! And hopefully you can enjoy this one just as much . It's more DEAD focused than SEAD, if only for the reason that I think this is more engaging for the player, as just flying to point A and firing a HARM at a number on a screen is in itself not terribly exciting. At it's core, the campaign is about using the Vipers systems and weapons to locate and kill air defence unit's, this is enhanced using the Weasel System built into the campaign, so is a lot more dynamic and better executed than you would get in core DCS usually. There are missions purely based around SEAD/DEAD (can at times be your choice to choose which you go for with risk/reward for decisions), but there are missions where you'll also carry out deliberate strikes and support operations on the ground. The campaign will also hopefully help teach you some weasel tactics and approaches so maybe helps you enjoy the role more as you become more confident in baiting SAMs to fire at you. Personally I've really enjoyed going from being afraid of SA6s to now understanding when I know can defeat the missile and how to use that information to find and kill the SAM. And you'll still get all the ground pounder Sims stuff you'll know from my other campaigns, extensive briefings, storyline, ATC etc. Whatever you decide, thanks for your ongoing support!
  8. From the looks of it the mission is detecting some units as killed instantly on mission start, I've seen this a few times before and every time it is has been down to mods causing a conflict with the units in the mission. Try removing all mods and running a repair and it should solve it. If not please come back to me and we can dig deeper.
  9. It's a new bug for the Viper after the latest update. It can be overcome by following these instructions:
  10. From experience I've seen this before from mods causing conflicts with the units killed. If you have any mods installed, please remove them and run a repair and try again. If you don't have any mods installed or that doesn't fix it please come back to me and I'll do some investigating. EDIT - I have just checked the mission myself as well and this didn't happen to me so I suspect a mod issue.
  11. Hi, I'm not sure what's causing that, I don't believe it's a campaign specific issue as I'm not aware of anyone else experiencing the same problem. Standard advice is to remove any mods if you have them installed and run a repair. If that doesn't resolve the issue please come bask to me and we'll see if we can figure it out.
  12. That is unlucky, not sure what caused that, but I'll post below in the spoilers the whole epilogue - with pictures and the subtitles to the audio.
  13. Personally I always go for the cluster bombs on the tank, it's a tricky target to hit.
  14. Thanks for your thoughts and I respect your opinion but I do disagree, I only fly in VR myself and have never had to lift the headset to use the F10 menu, a little bit of muscle memory goes a long way here. If you're not aware though the F10 menu can now be bound to your HOTAS, this key bind is only active when the radio menu is open so you don't even need loads of spare buttons, it allows you to navigate the menu totally hands off keyboard. Can't remember off the top of my head the name of the keybind but let me know if you want me to look it up for you.
  15. Argggh that is bad luck, I've seen it happen before but it's pretty rare.
  16. I'll take a 5+ . Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it! The issue with weapon selection often comes down to the complexity of the missions, what you might not realize is that there can be a lot going on under the hood, such as counting the bombs used, tracking when a bomb has been released and then tracking if it's hit anything. Unfortunately changing the load-out often breaks the mission, a consequence of designing missions of this complexity.
  17. Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the campaign! Yeah the incorrect radio lighting up on the DED is really annoying, seems to happen no matter what the transmitting frequency is set to, one of those small annoyances I can't seem to get round.
  18. I'll have a check, he shouldn't be flying that slow, might be the AI playing up a little.
  19. It's a common error since the 2.9 update, always make sure you undesignate otherwise your SPI screws up your steer point. Hope you enjoy the campaign!
