  1. Works for me as well on Standalone. *EDIT* Nvm...black screen.
  2. Got ti working, thanks!
  3. How do I do that?
  4. I have the Open Beta and nothing is downloading for me.
  5. I didnt even get the patch. Nothing dl'd at all for me, and yes im on the open beta :/
  6. It's not a hype thread without the entire Iron Eagle Soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN-eyz9YK-E
  7. Are those Bugle Boy Jeans that you're wearing?
  8. I would guess another 3-4 weeks. The list of things they are still working on seems fairly in-depth. Just guess though. This module looks be developing pretty quickly so I could be completely off (again, I was just completely randomly guessing with the 3-4 weeks).
  9. That's not your videocard, that's the Reverbs small sweetspot. You have to looks directly at something to take advantage of the increased resolution.
  10. The Reverb has solid resolution in the dead center/sweet spot. Once your eyes deviate from there, it gets blurry, fast. I tested the Reverb against the Rift S for a good 3 days straight...as in 10+ hours a day flying...switching back and forth. In all honesty, the only good thing about the Reverb was the higher resolution, which in my opinion, is negated by the much smaller sweet spot as well as a few other aspects that really bugged me.
  11. I returned my Reverb yesterday. The clarity was very good, but for me, that's where the pros ended. The resolution is better than the Rift S, but the Rift S is still very good and I have no issues reading the gauges in DCS. In the end, the list of cons just exceeded the list of pros, and for me, didn't warrant the $250+ price premium over te Rift S. In retrospect, I sort of understand why clarity is the only thing mentioned about the Reverb in so many forums....it's sort of the only aspect the HMD really has going for it (all things considered). To those who do like it, enjoy your headsets! :) Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  12. Clarity wise in the center it is very good. Unfortunately, that's the only way it really seems better than the Rift S for me. I enjoyed the clarity very much, and although I enjoyed this aspect, the heavy cable, limited sweet spot (as compared to the Rift S) and lack of comfort (compared to the Rift S) was just too many strikes against it. I returned my Reverb yesterday. With regards to clarity, the Reverb is excellent, but the Rift S is very good. There is a difference in clarity, but when you compare the two and all the pros and cons, the Reverb, for me, just ended up having too many cons vs pros. The heavy and rigid cable has to be the most annoying aspect of the headset though. It was very noticable while playing DCS and in found myself continuously reaching up to adjust the cable. This was really annoying. Lol Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the help, guys! I'll check it out. Some great news though. I went back and re-did all the SteamVR display settings (except for the refresh as noted above) and reconfigured the in-game graphics settings, and needless to say the image looks a LOT better. Now I can really see a difference between this one and the Rift S. I was also able to find a way to get the headset on without it interfering with my glasses so there's no discomfort. The sweet spot seems to be much better now, perhaps I had a setting off or the headset not situated correctly, but either way it is MUCH more accpetable now. Regarding the refresh issue, I did update to the "WMR for SteamVR" to beta today, so perhaps there is a new beta and it bored something. The cable is still annoying but I can live with that. I'm going to test it out a few more days but it's looking good so far :) Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  14. Just checked and it's set to 90 in the WMR settings but 60 in Steam. Odd..
  15. Why would my refresh rate be locked at 60hz? There's no reason for SteamVR to detect that. :/
  16. Why do you have your res set to 2500+, isn't the Reverb res 2160 per eye? Also, I checked my settings in my advanced settings as well as WMR and my refresh rate is 90hz....but SteamVR Settings report at 60hz :/ Any ideas?
  17. SteamVR Beta is completely different and from what I've heard should he avoided. The "WMR for SteamVR beta" is completely different. Hope this helps! :) Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  18. Interesting. It shouldn't be USB bandwidth though since I only have 1 device so the bandwidth shouldn't be split. Drivers are all up to date as well (I built the PC 2 days ago). USB bandwidth is a weird thing though so you never know. If need be, I can test the with an Inateck or Startech card (I have a both), so that may help. If it is indeed a USB Bandwidth issue the Startech card should fix that right up. Thanks! Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  19. If one is 74% and the other is 188% but they show the same resolution is there any difference, as in does the "percentage" value make a difference or just the resolution? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  20. Not sure what would limit the refresh rate on my PC. It certainly isn't the processor, ram or videocard. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  21. CV1 to Reverb: Big change Rft S to Reverb: Not night and day. The Reverb is better in some ways and worse in others. Is the Reverb $200-$250 better than the Rift S? In my opinion....No way. But ymmv. :) Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  22. I'll take a look. I'm pretty sure I set mine to 65 (my IPD). Quick question... What do you all set your SteamVR global and Manual Override Resolutions too? Mine is at 188% (closest to 2160) for the Manual Override and stock for the Global Resolution. Also, I noticed some are using the Beta of WMR for SteamVR, is this recommended as well? Thanks! 23. It could've been an outlier since I've used it quite a bit and never seen that before. Sort of like a PC freezing up that one time but never does it again. We'll see lol Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks, I'll check it out! :) Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah the colors are sort of off-putting. It's sort of like the entire screen has a white-ish haze to it. I think I'm just used to very high resolution flat panels with near perfect color so going to an HMD I really notice the picture differences. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
