  1. I was referring to the raw flight model, without adjusting curves which I have done, but compared to a F15C without adjusted curves, the aircraft is hardly manageable. Yesterday I had a multi-player flight time with fab.13 I crashed out taxiing, I crashed during take off and landing, he could see how difficult it was for me to control the aircraft even from the air, I don't keep tracks which are containing this sort of incidents so you will have to take my word for it, but he passed me his curves and I adopted them, it makes things a lot easier, but I still find it near impossible to trim it and the yaw induced moment is still quite important. So I think Aerges are aware of this all since they wrote the algorythms, what I think is that it has been overdone because I never heard of the F1 behaving like that, for sure it is not a fly-by-wire aircraft, not a 2000C but even if I know that spoilers can induce yaw moments I am not sure it translate up to this amplitude, reason why I am interested to hear the opinion of an actual F1 pilot. If we manage to have some expert insight, then I will communicate my questions to Aerges if relevant.
  2. Not to mention that binding and setting up control axis curves can be very difficult at times, there can be a huge difference between aircrafts, best example from my side, Mirage 2000C and F1, I had the 2000C in hand after a couple of hours (I had a previous experience of real flight and theorical training coming with it and it helps a lot), but the F1 is another story all together. I know that the Armee de l'air is happy with RAZBAM work and collaboration on the 2000C module, but I wouldn't sware they would formally approve of the F1, I might be wrong but it came to the point where I opened a topic on the subject because I am asking myself questions about its flight characteristics... Mirage F1 flight envelop and characteristics. So yes, some people might have issues with DCS, not only it is very complex, but also flying some aircraft can be very challenging and it's not due to age and reflexes, it's just the nature of the simulation and modules themselves, no Armee de l'Air pilot ever had to set up his control curves...
  3. I was just wondering if those two parameters were so accurate because I find the F1 a little too nervous... There is a huge amount of induce yaw strolling the nose from side to side even without using the rudder and the effect increase with AoA, the aircraft is quite unstable, does roll inputs really have this effect with the real Mirage F1, if there are ex-F1 pilot out there, it would help to have their opinions. I also find it nearly impossible to trim it accurately, normally most aircraft respond rather well to trimming so as to make it possible to fly them on the trim, here the slightest change in engine rmp will blow a stable trim setting. I've been struggling with taxiing too, to a point where I would miss a turn or scrap the runway with a wing tip, it cause me to crash taking off or landing without the nose wheel steering on, just to say, if you can't use the rudder or differential wheel brakes to correct your alignment it's not normal. I flew a few real aircraft both with instructors, as co-pilot and solo, ranging from Piper cub to Seneca and Centurion, none of those had caused me so much trouble and I was 17, when I started, it's been a long time since last flight (a glider in Cornwall) but I know I can handle an aircraft, this ain't it. So the question is, are the controls of the F1 overdone? I'm not asking for a sanitized flight characteristic but seriously, if the real aircraft was like this, then we had a generation of hyper talented guys in the AdlA...
  4. One thing that would help both developers and players is a common weapons pools, data shared between developers so we would have the same weapon shared between A-Cs. RAZBAM have done a terrific job of the Mirage 2000, it did certainly do them some good to have Armee de l'Air work with them on the module...
  5. The Super 530D never was fitted to the Mirage F1, it was designed to use the RDI (Radar Doppler à Impulsion)radar of the Mirage 2000C, D stands for Doppler and the F1 doesn't have this capability. The 530F was designed for use with the Mirage F1. So whatever they use for this F1, it has to have the same firing and flight envelop that the actual Super 530F used by RAZBAM, the D was not only improved in electronics but its performances as well were superior to that of the F. As for the actual 530, its kill ratio in the game is completely unrealistic, due to maintenance and rather below average electronics, it would fail to hit its target most of the time, so it is just as well that Aerges plans to give this F1 a true BVR AAM because the only Air Force which tried to use it, the Israeli Air Force, scored only 1 kill with the 530. I'd rather have a second pylon for the IR AAM than a 530 fitted....
  6. About MSI Afterburner. Anyone knows the setting to retain perf overlays in DCS replays? I managed to find them but lost them apparently, I have overlay but no longer in replays. Cheers.
  7. Sorted! Thanks to Mike from Tech Support: All folders added to the list of exceptions in my anti-virus, firewall disabled.
  8. That's new, don't know if it comes from a windows update or DCS update but I find it impossible to get cockpit view in whatever map I chose to fly my F1. Any idea what might cause that? Thanks!
  9. Just USB 3.0+ or Wi-Fi, this adapter is something else and I would cable it differently if I was to use it, I would position the adapter close to the GPU with an extra cable, you don't need to have it hanging from your headset, I was referring to the Beta version of STEAM. This video is just an information I passed, not a solution I recommend or not, I might try it and if there is any performance to gain from it, use i in a permanent basis...
  10. Just a tip: I run my Pico4 with Steam VR Beta, it works....
  11. That's the whole idea; to eliminate the risk of cpu/gpu reaching their thermal limits and throttling back under load, same as for using Cl14 RAM for Ryzen 3/3Ds. I use PBO2 tuner for the time being, I don't think there is a viable BIOS option for undervolting the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3D, so I do it in Windows, it seems to work, although I haven't bothered checking on the exact data for results, the undervolt level is -15v/core and my system is stable even in multi-players missions.
  12. I didn't invent the title...
  13. i don't use it either, I'm not young but I have little problem checking six, in fact, I went VR to avoid using PoV hats and software such as this but this is information...
  14. At 3:00, those spins are test flights, not everyone can do them and go away with it...
  15. I mixed a Thrustmaster Warthog and chose to use a new TWCS with it because it is not bad at all for the price, you can expect two good years of intensive use from it, after that it might develop a few glitches, that's the cost of durability which comes with higher quality but higher price as well. You need to calibrate it, and bind it as well, to achieve that I use JoyToyKey, there is a small fee for the license but once you get it, it's rather trouble free. Calibrating is a must, normally, it is fairly stable unless you have a lot of file corruption with your system (repair/maintain as often as you can), if your TWCS is faulty it will show during calibration, here on the Z Axis. Thrustmaster's T.A.R.G.E.T won't let you mix your TWR with another stick like I did with JoyToyKey so don't bother and it is not that good either, I was annoyed at first when I realized I had to pay a license but it is small (7.00 USD), permanent and worth it, you can uninstall it and reinstall and recover its full functionality, just save the license key in your email...
  16. DCS... Right. For sure the most challenging flight sim there must be in the market, for those who remember Jane's Fighters Anthology, IAF, USAF or even F/A 18, it's a quantum leap from those games but complexity comes at a price and mastering the most advanced modules takes a lot of time and dedication. Also the gear needed to make the most of them is incomparable to a Pentium II3 with 256mb of RAM and an early Radeon GPU, when you think that the size of a terrain pixel in IAF (one of my favourite for the missions) was probably the same as that of a car in DCS you can imagine what you need to render the whole thing. We better agree to disagree as to which is the best module in the game, question of taste methink, I hate my Mig-29 because it feels and sounds like it's been made in a cold war era factory in East Germany by drunk workers, but I wouldn't swap my Mirage 2000C for any of them. F-14? Yessir! It's certainly a good one, for the elite perhaps but I'm restarting and struggling to get the hang of the nimble Mirage F1, I'm not gonna try to control-crash this huge thing on a carrier, but as a module it certainly stands out with the other good ones. Another, simpler alternative is the actual F-15C, if you just want to have fun and get some flight hours in a fast jet, it's probably the best.
  17. A 2/30 F1CR in Tchad? Hell yeah!
  18. I got a lot of stuff from Newegg without any issues, I even had a refund within a week after a mislabeled RAM kit was sent to me, replacement kit arrived shortly after order. You have access to UK hardware stores online but don't know it, especially after some guys posted a "boycot it" topic about them, most customers are not experiencing this kind of issues. What I got from them in 2022 in one package: MSI MEG X570S ACE MAX motherboard. Thrustmaster Warthog. Thrustmaster VG TWCS Throttle. CORSAIR RMx Series RM850x. SAMSUNG 870 EVO Series 2.5" 2TB SATA. G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600. Previous order Jan 2021. G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200. Everything was shipped to me in good condition and arrived within a week <> of order.
