  1. Rafale never flew with Super Hornet engines, the prototype Rafale A flew with one General Electric F404-GE-400 but this engine is already larger than M-88, there is no chance for a Rafale to flywith the Super Hornet F414-GE-400. If SAFRAN come up with a newversion of M-88 based on the technologies they are developing now for No it doesn't The Super Hornet engine is too large to be fitted on the Rafale airframe, the legacy Hornet engine is already larger than the M-88, get your facts right. Something else, during high Alpha tests, Rafale reached 100° AoA and 40 Kt negative speed, M-88 is just as good than F414-GE-400 at high Alpha.

If SAFRAN come up with a new version of M-88 based on the technologies they are developing now for SCAF, it will probably be even more advanced than bot GE engines.
  3. Improvements in view for the M88 engine The Rafale jet engine will benefit from the works carried out on the engine of tomorrow’s fighter jets. It was in this regard that France’s defense procurement agency entrusted Safran with an upstream research program, worth 115 million euros over five years to boost the engine’s thrust while improving its lifespan.
  4. Agreed. I always liked the F1 but I kind of missed out on the AdlA C variant, since it wasn't advertised as much as was the CR later on, I'll be more than happy to add it to my collection.
  5. Agreed, it's already a lot of work, but the CR would open the door to some special types of missions and terrain, like Tchad. Anyway, Happy New Year everyone!
  6. Thanks! It was better than previously simulated anyway, the old one had more to do with the F variant. Merry X-Mass and Happr New Year to all!
  7. Wow. Look at who is talking about growing up. The same guy who lied about availability of his card, conned someone else selling a 1070 at more than double the market price and brag about it in forum... Get lost.
  8. Your maths are anything but simple... First of all you base every single post on assumptions: 1) Why would anyone buy a 3070? 2) Availability, it is untrue to claim that your buy is anything else than circumstancial, market price for a 3070 is mostly above £900. 3) Resale cost. Your 1070 market price second hand is £178.00, and the exchange against vouchers at CEX will return £253.00, I doubt very much that this and the rate at which you bought yours will equal to the 12% increase in performance over a 1080Ti. 4) Amazon? Well guess WHY I post topics like this? Precisely to allow players to avoid the trap of buying untested, unwarranted piece of junk for more than their real price. So your solution as I said is nothing else than a freak buy and buying second hand, tested, two years warranteed GPU at CEX is a perfecly vialbe and more widely available solution than yours, especially for someone who doesn't want to buy a 3070 simply to have to upgrade within the next two years. About you two lovers go troll your own topic?
  9. As usual you're more into assumption than reality, starting by "just have to be able to buy them when they're available". not everyone case: Today, CEX would buy a Radeon 5500 XT for vouchers for £286.00 and your 1070 for £253.00 any day and no need to wait, plus a 3070 FE doesn't meet my requierements and I bet I'm not the only one in this case, its performances are not high enough to justify even considering buying one second hand... My GPU of choice would be an MSI 3080Ti Trio, not any FE, even less a 3070, so a two years warranteed 1080Ti as stop gap for £329 would still make a lot more sense for me than your solution, starting with a Radeon 5500 XT as I did, since I still would have to upgrade in when the market recovered down to reasonable rates. Now, if your trick works, you could try to find an MSI 3080Ti Trio below £1000 available right now, there are none, as simple as that, I don't assume that people can find a GPU at the price you did find yours, I am sure that £329 for a 1080Ti in exchange for a Radeon 5500 XT as stop gap is still a cheaper and better solution than buying a GPU which doesn't meet my requierements, buying it on the price only providing it is available. Before I commit to splashing dosh of this sort, I do my home work and I'm a little bit more picky than just buying a 3070, sorry. Nah seriously you really want people to believe this B.S of yours? How much exactly did you sell your 1070 for? Now it's time to try to open your own topic and tell your disneylandish fairytales elswhere. Bye.
  10. Nice to see you're aware to have passed all this time posting in the wrong topic... First, your buy looks like a total freak accident, just in case you haven't noticed yet, 99.99% of players in the UK won't be able to emulate it at the moment, reason for posting this topic in the first place because people need real info on alternative solutions, not counting on lotery or Santa Claus to find a suitable GPU, even as stop gap like was the my case. Then I didn't buy my 1080Ti when it was as this high price and the total cost was £361.00 after voucher exchange of my Radeon 5500 XT GPU, since I plan to upgrade to a 3080Ti, not an FE, my warranteed 1080Ti works just fine, was the right choice, and might well be the right choice for those who are unable to find something suitable and need a good 3080 below £900 in the future. This solution still was cheaper even so the general market increase in cost make it seems like it isn't, but considering the fact that players in the UK can't put their hands on anything cheap or anything at all in the 3080 GPU market, you posted in the wrong topic once again. Here, try to get a 3080Ti from Scan and when you realized that you just can't then search the market for anything below £900, good luck. https://www.scan.co.uk/search?q=3080Ti
  11. Guys, maybe some of you missed the point I was trying to make: With voucher exchanges, the cost of a two years warranted 1080 Ti at CEX goes down by as much as they pay for your previous GPU, depending on the model you exchange to them it can lower the cost by a few hundred boxes. That's why I posted this topic, if one wants to buy a brand new GPU with equal-to-higher performances to a 1080Ti, using this system with CEX will always bring the value for money on the side of the CEX purchase, I will start to look for 3080 and 3080Tis from them in the future trying to use the same trade/exchange system ans I did for my 1080Ti. Having said that, I wish you all a Merry X-Mass.
  12. Horrible four balls animals, that's the nickname I give to Antifa...
  13. I concur with both the last two posters. In one hand you will need more power sooner than later, on the other, Bossco82 suggested a suitable solution if you're stock with one type by lack of availability. If possible at all I'd suggest a Corsair 750W (or another make but making sure you get continuous 750W output guaranteed), this should leave you with enough headroom for future upgrades.
  14. I have conducted my tests with 3D Mark Pro and also posted the results several times over along with the clear explainations from MSI support on the CPU controller limits, number of ranks, frequencies and their recommandation on the Chip material (B.Die) etc. Your kit is B.Die, meaning that as opposed to a Cl16 or any 3600 DDR4 non-B.die, your kit provide your CPU with the right range of timings and is most probably single ranks, which place it well below the limits of your CPU controller, so your post isn't relevant to what I highlight, since I took good care to specify B.Die chips in my post. For everyone info I repost the relevant information. Email from MSI support replying to one of my enquieries. Some thing are specified which makes the issues in hand pretty clear here: Dual ranks X 4 causes the bottleneck, the CPU will throttle down under load so the ranks limit is 4, 2 X 2 or 4 X 1. It is even more so with higher frequencies and that recommcnded by AMD for their CPUs is 3200MHz, they assume people doesn't use premium RAM B.Die one rank here. The speed supported by AMD decreases with a number of ranks higher than 4. Going above the recommanded 3200MHz is considered as overclocking and you lose your CPU warranty. Here are the results of the test I conducted using 3D Mark Pro at 4K/ MSAA X 2, here the GSkill kit is compared to a Crucial Gaming kit of the same capacity (32GB) and frequency, (3200MHz) but 2 ranks per stick (2 X 2), non B.Die.
  15. Thank you. I intend to swap to Linux when my release of Windows 10 is no longer supported. It sounds like you have a graphic driver issue, you might want to try different drivers to see if one solve your issue. Fly dangerously!
