Hi Currenthill amazing work all round! Upon testing new mission editor features with 2.9 I noticed something with US infantry 1.4.0 - I made a simple tasking where a team of 4 (infantry M4) embark to transport. In the first case it was a stryker IFV and the infantry froze and did not embark once the first soldier touched the vehicle. I tried changing different ground vehicle types and then since its a new beta feature i reverted to stock US soldier M4 to see if its a general bug. With stock assets the embark and disembark from ground transport features works fine. I then tried to see is CH infantry M4 could embark and disembark from a UH-60A just to check if the traditional helicopter transport works. Upon the first soldier touching the blackhawk the helicopter bounced into the air, went inverted and exploded when it hit the ground. I haven't spent a lot of time testing and might still test a little more but just a heads up! Also maybe I missed the fact that you don't have transportable listed as a feature for these troops is a reason. Keep up the good work! These mods are the best I've ever seen! Regards GL -
Thank you, I set the page file accordingly. A custom mission in the Marianna’s with the F14 and no weather (basic clouds) ran once. No other planes or statics present. I then restarted it and got a not responding prompt which is new when wait for pooled task -1 and the game crashed. I feel like we are getting somewhere. The same mission ran again upon relaunch but the restart crashed the game again. Finally I tried my luck with some wind and scattered 5 clouds and it didn’t run at all. let me know if you want the logs kind regards GL

I don't have a discrete graphics card sadly, am saving up for one. However, here is my modest setup attached. It did work perfectly for me under 2.7 but wondering now if its time expired now that 2.8 has come out. I am trying to ascertain if my setup is outdone by DCS 2.8 or if there is perhaps an error. Hi all. my setup is very modest - I could get around 30 - 40 fps when I play on mid to low graphics settings. Ever since I updated to DCS 2.8 I have not been able to launch a mission. When the mission loads it gets stuck on “wait for pooled tasks - 1” and this lasts upwards of 10 minutes and then I have to terminate the process. I have tried increasing the vram of my C drive as I have read in other forums but that hasn’t done the trick yet. Can anyone ping here? Would greatly appreciate the help. I have been playing since 2016 more or less without issue. Regards GL

Hi Admiral, I am trying to apply these changes but struggling to find the Lua file - is there a general harpoon Lua across ships, (for the game) or is it a Lua file for each ship in savedgames/dcs/mods/tech/*ship* for the ships that have harpoons sticking out? Kind Regards GL -

I just made 20 static triggers using this command wanting the same outcome but no success -
***This contains a spoiler from Topgun: Maverick*** if you haven’t watched then go it’s really good and then read this. So in the movie a trusty F/A-18F gets hit by a flock of birds and the same “engine fire left” “engine fire right” audios come on similarly to a comprehensive startup procedure (its one of the tests). The pilot then goes through the extinguishing procedures and attempts a restart. This made me try and replicate it once I got home but I didn’t get too far and realised that it may not be implemented yet. My question is: will we be able to have an engine fire simulated as a failure in mission editor and be able to use NATOPS procedures to keep the Hornet flying in game ie. Use the fire extinguishers and limp home? Look I know I’m comparing Hollywood to DCS. Don’t get me wrong ED has done an amazing job on the Hornet so far. Regards GL

At the moment, Ai uses a combination of the invisible pushback functionality as well as engine power to taxi into the hangar, it would be nice when ED implements plane director deck crew they could also add tractors to do this instead of Ai having their engine on below deck.

+1 the ship mods aren’t showing in game but only in mission editor -
I often found myself skidding off the deck of the carrier in a hornet and ejecting just to drop through the water which kind of ruins the immersion for me. I really hope that a floating pilot model could be implemented since 95% of the Marianna's map is water and combine that with rookie supercarrier ops makes a good reason for CSAR missions and floating pilot animations. Let's hope that the F10 ejected pilot markers are a teaser for what's to come. Also maybe one day we will get a remodelled SH60 please ED... Regards GL

It is amazing that I am thinking exactly the same thoughts as stated in this forum, and yet here we are: Q4 2021. I'll give it to ED, the super carrier and Marianna's are amazing terrains/assets and they set the perfect backdrop for the need of at least a reworked ai SH60. Would be great for a mod to drop in and fill the gap in the mean time. Regards GL

Hi everyone, these mods are all great including USS America! A big thank you to Admiral I am just wondering where I could look for help. My problem: recently my ai harriers in mission would take off LHAs (Tarawa) with a realistic payload (around 60% fuel and full pylons) and they would roll down the deck with thrusters at 45 degrees (like in reality) and successfully take off and do their mission and then come back and land with no issue at all . However I don’t know if this coincides with the latest OB update, but when I was testing them on the America and now Tarawa, they do not take off unless empty with around 10% fuel and no munitions. And when empty they do a fully vertical takeoff and appear very buggy. I have read and found this ai problem dates back to 2018 but was resolved with updates. Anyone else experiencing this resurfaced problem? Regards GL -

The units do not show on the f10 map and although you can see them on the ground they are static and don’t interact in game for me. I’m running the latest open beta Regards

Hi SUNTSAG, I can confirm this as well. Wonderful mod - I downloaded it and worked perfectly on an older version of dcs, however does not seem to work on this latest version of OB. The troops appear to be standing but "dead" and I cannot view them on the F10 map. You can see them in ME but in game they do not move. Regards
