It amazes me the perseverance of all involved in the search. The causes of an accident like this cannot be ignored, and they are really committed to it, even though its like searching a needle in an ocean.

When it says "kinetic weapons" it must be about tank-fired sabots. How the hell it can intercept effectively a burst of 200 rounds of 30mm shells coming from an aircraft?

In the book "A-10 Over Kosovo" there are several references to that.

TrackIR doesn't get setted up by the joystick profiles. It is a completely separated device. Inside A-10C TrackIR has its own column in the Options -> Controls. There you can configure it to your liking, alongside own TrackIR software. If you fire up A-10C and TIR doesn't work, then you may have to update its software and drivers. -
My approach is a bit different. I have just a tiny deadzones and leave the curves fairly default, but instead crank the "Smooth" slider (on main trackir 5 screen, in the "Motion Control" frame). Small movements get dampened, and fast movements stay fast.

DCS (and even Lockon) MP is light-years more stable than any Falcon version. "MP Datalink broken" refers to the inability of Warthogs to exchange targeting information through radio datalinks, a bug that is certain to be fixed (Datalink works perfectly in Black Shark, why wouldnt work here?). It does not mean the entire MP'ing doesn't work :). EDIT: Headshot!

Yep this simulator is overwhelming, but you have a great resource here - the community. Keep looking the forums if you need an answer on something. But to address your question, view panning is accomplished with the numpad keys only. Under "View" category in Options->Controls you have these commands as "View <direction> slow". Combined with right shift, the view rotates faster. With Right Control you have snap views that come back to center once you release the key, and with Right Alt you have snap views that dont recenter.

You just hit LOAD DSMS after rearming and everything works fine. By the way, the loadouts you made only appear (in MP at least, I dont play SP) if it is tied to a particular task in the aircraft. Example, if you open the editor, put an A-10C on map, select Task -> Nothing and create a loadout, it will not be tied to any task. If however you create a loadout while having selected CAS or Ground Attack, then it will appear in MP. The loadout name still have to begin with "Show", "Anti-armor", "Mix", "PGM" or "AFAC" to be shown in the appropriate menu.

The more I play, the more I cant wait for brief in-game...

Could have been available as a virtual kneepad if our virtual pilot had virtual legs. That way you could also write things on kneepad, have maps, charts etc. Anyway the announced feature already existed in MP and its very handy, so its good to be present in SP too. -
Fixed for ya. I wonder why tossing JDAMs doesnt work in sim? Its a perfectly viable tactic in real life, isn't it?

Anyone connected a potentiometer to A-10C yet?

But it may be easier to interface with a virtual joystick like this than with actual hardware. Or not? -
He said he touchs down at 119 knots at 25% fuel, which seems fine.

Sorry, I don't fly FC2 for a long time and last PC format wiped my old files... -

He must not only put the pr0 in the right directory, but load the pr0 in the saitek profiler (tray icon besides Windows clock) before loading the sim. Glad it worked!! -

I'm using the same as you. Are you guys running in sim mode or game mode? Since the key mappings are different. Otherwise I'm at loss. I can see the modifiers in the controls screen and they work here. Perhaps try to reset the mappings and load again? -

Profile loaded correctly in SST? Which version of SST/driver? -

At the Options->Controls screen there should be a button called "Modifiers" in lower-left corner. Check if JOY_BTN6 is listed there as a modifier. Are you using the plain X-52 or X-52 pro? -

Hey Sappo, I have only seen that when, at the moment I open DCS, either the joystick or TrackIR are not connected or disabled. Then the column disappears. Anyway I dont think its a problem of my profile itself, since it deals only with the assignments of a single controller. Check your USB connections of the trackIR and joystick. Is the TrackIR blue light on when you open up the sim? -

Its the slider in the throttle - leave it in the center position while not flying :). -

Hey GAJ52, In Blackshark I used a lot the Z-axis of TrackIR as Zoom - now I dont change zoom often given the TGP. But when I need I do use the numpad / and * keys to zoom. You can easily use T5 and T6 for TrackIR, just go ahead and modify the Saitek profile. I use a weird keyboard combination since I dont need often to pause or center TrackIR. @Cibit Regarding the mic switch, no problem, use the profile as a baseline and modify as you wish. I realized that I needed to use the full CMS functionality, and for that its necessary a 4-way POV. I also don't like the idea of accidentaly triggering the CMS, thats why I left it alone in the throttle hat without secondary commands with pinky. -

Did you checked out the zip attached to the first post? I see 2 files in there. -
Dont think graphics would influence on a crash at the end of a mission... Did you submit crash logs? Perhaps the sim is trying to write a logfile of the mission and does not have permission, or something similar. Also you may want to check your disk or RAM for errors. Some seemingly random crashes I had in the past (that weren't for overclocking :)) were simply because of bad sectors or faulty RAM chips. But if a crash occurs consistently at one point, then the developers should be able to at least track it.

Rgr that, nevertheless suggestions are welcomed. As well as reports if the install procedure is correct and working fine. -

Thanks for the kind words DratsaB! Yes, B and N looked unassigned to me when I did a clean install. Since the slider, when positioned in one of the extremes, keep sending the key assigned to it continuously, I think is better for it to send simple keys like B and N than complex keys like Shift+B and Control+B which are the default, that can easily entangle with other keys in combination. I found that by accident, I pressed them and A-10C recognized! But you right, they dont appear in the Profiler, shame Saitek didnt gave us full control over the stick (same thing as the impossibility to assign the ministick to an axis). :smartass: Thanks. I put a lot of thought on the placement of each command to be as practical, ergonomic and safe as possible. Glad you liked it. -
