  1. I've read the manual but I must have missed that last part. IT ACTUALLY WORKS! God I love you SimFreak, how can I rep you 56 times in a batch?
  2. In that case it both you and me  Done 53.7 million takeoffs in IL-2 Ben Dover where in particular the Blenheim is a monster you need to fight, furiously, all the way up to 4000ft but after this - the blenny is something you just fly away with popping a beer while at it. Hopefully the beta is not properly modelled for takeoff or any coop mission will be at danger (for me who sucs that is).
  3. Sure thing. First three are F8 Division at Barkarby Airbase (hence the 8 ). #4 is from F16 Uppsala (just in case someone prefer that division :) ) #5 and #6 are WIP using ingame numbersystem but that seems to be non-functional at the moment.
  4. Swedish J26 for my fellow countrymen, and others :) "Röd Kalle"/"Red Kalle" from F8 Barkarby There are other pics too but forums doesn't seem to clip the sizes so I won't post more than one (oh it actually did, still a tad bit huge so I'll keep it short anyway). Also available is "Gul Johan"/"Yellow John" and "Blå Ludvig"/"Blue Lima" and some others. Non-hard coded skins are included in case ingame numbering one days turns out functional. Download (5.1 meg): http://odenhouse.servegame.com/Bazar.7z (Put files in proper folder, you figure it out)
  5. sobek, I'll hold Stef hostage if you don't tell :P
  6. This just might be my first DCS title. Might be smoother than IL-2 Ben Dover. How was scripting in DCS? Can the mission creator spawn ground units on the fly via scripts etc (like in ArmA and IL2)? (btw thanks for efforts Yoyo :) )
  7. Oh I love that voice and gameplay. Wish I could install it on my win7, no luck so far in XP and Vista. Have the "tactcom" disc too.
  8. ArmA2 not really flighthours TBH but I can hangout here with you guys anyway, right?
  9. Many sincere thanks to both mikhaliz and you HiJack.Sounds grand.
  10. I run F4AF under win7 x64 so it should work. Also, suggestion from MATT is really good - gets Odans seal of approval :) OpenFalcon is the deeper simulated of the three with Data Cartridge and stuff, becomes alot key pushing according to some. Though FF have some neat HARM pages in the avionics but is mostly popular for allowing to fly more planetypes with dedicated pits (2D and 3D). I'm sure SUBS or Mower can describe OF in more detail for you if you ask them. I think most old falconeers fly OF and AF or FF and AF - some F4 talibans try all three with registry update icons ready on the desktop (I used to) but I think most are either FF or OF (always nagging eachothers) but also have AF installed. Personally I've streamlined myself to only AF nowadays as ArmA2 takes insanely much of my spare time.
  11. Step 1: Buy Falcon 4.0 Allied Force Step 2: Install patch 1.0.13 Step 3: Download and install GunnySoundPack2.2.zip Avoid FreeFalcon and OpenFalcon. If you try FF5 anyway fly the AJS37 Viggen in 2D pit and tell me you love it (I made it) :)
  12. Is it complicated to make it show up ingame or would it be possible to write a small "harrier-fc2-for-dummies"? :)
  13. Solved. Clean reinstall with no modman (7.3) nor JAS39C and it all works (sadly in one way). Seems like ModMan "locks" files? Moderator: feel free to rename thread to "FC2 and TrackIR5 (Solved)".
  14. Yepp. FC2 shows in gamelist and TIR is "mapped" ingame. What puzzles me is that with TIR running in background I'm unable to remap any keys (lua error) but if I turn TIR off I can remap any key I want. I did remove F7, F8, F9 and F12 from the A-10 to not collide with TIR function keys (with TIR off ofcourse) as I have those as "trap" in the TIR settings. Edit: Even works fine with old LockOn 1.02 :/ why oh why do the e-Gods hate me
  15. Hi, Just installed TrackIR5 and running it's app. with FC2 seems to lock all keys - getting the "classic" stuck in "Press pause/break to start" (read most I could find here and on other forums but no solution helped). Trying to edit the keys for A-10 for instance will give a error upon saving/OK in the line of a "null value in some lua file". If I turn TIR5 off, all run ok as usual and I can edit keys again. TIR5 runs ok with Falcon4AF, ROF, IL2:CoD and ArmA2:CO but seems to lock FC2 in some strange manner. Not sure if I should turn to NP forums but as all apps runs ok but FC2 I thought I should start here. Setup is running on win7 with apps as admin (tried other combos too) with TIR5 on SSD disk and FC2 on the bigger HDD. Links for the only usable logfiles I could find: http://odenhouse.servegame.com/Error.log http://odenhouse.servegame.com/NewInputStart.txt [NewInputStart.txt] says "Cannot load headtracker.dll!" in the end. My extreme joy receiving the TIR5 earlier today have by now become a 6-hour very sad story :/ Any hints on how to block TIR5 from locking all config folder (or part of it)? /frustratedOden Solved: Clean reinstall with no modman (7.3) nor JAS39C and it all works. Seems like ModMan "locks" files? Hope this helps other TIR5 users already having modman installed.
  16. Amen dear Frugalite, Amen. @Jazjar: http://ebookbrowse.com/bms-dash34-pdf-d43666403 (but I suggest to get original F4 and d/l OF from somewhere and try it out, quite complicated for a starter but usually as rewarding - get a copy of FreeFalcon 5.5 too, no F4 needed for that one [http://www.freefalcon.com/])
  17. SUBS17, you're the first one I've heard of having problems with OF in MP - odd how different these old flavours behave for us all. When I very shortly tried OF in MP it ran very smooth (old XP machine though), tried FF numerous times in Vista 64 and now lately win7 and would sum it up to allow me to play the first half of each mission and after that there was bound to be a CTD somewhere :) life's a b haha. Only F4 I ever use today on my win7 is the trusty AF and as a simmer one should be able to see past the graphics, but it does hurt the eyes at times :P (as MVSGas neatly describes) Looking forward to your acronym post, feels like Frugals - I do recognize your name from that old place right (I wasn't very active so you shouldnt really know my name)? Edit: time-ninjad by himself ! :)
  18. Hi sobek, long time no see! Naa, mostly lurking whenever I make another attempt to get into FC2 but after IL2:cod went emotionally empty on me and FF kept on CTD even on my new win7 I hope I'll spend more time here with FC2 now. Tried <51> server yesterday in my old trusty Su-25A but it was way too difficult for me, indeed isuc at this :D - very nice mission setup though so I'll try'n'return there when I get less useless at this haha. Do you fly anything with Stef nowadays? jazjar, sorry for getting all offtopic here - Sobek, shoot me a PM so we don't hijack this thread more than we've already done. :shame-on-us:
  19. Long time I flew FF as all the CTD's finally depleted my interest but I'd say at least half of that abbrevation rush in your previous post :) Alas, one does not need too many features to be more detailed than AF HAD display? I do note a small OF/FF fight in your question directly after your first post but I will disregard that.
  20. In AF it's very simplied, try FreeFalcon for a more correct simulation. I still find the AF procedure to be good enough in the air-war simulation that Falcon is. If you're more into flight-sim try FreeFalcon or openFalcon.
  21. Nice to hear you like the setup. Feel free to edit the missions and do whatever you feel will enhance the missions/experience/performance, just rename them so we don't run the same mission names :) (like co08 Airpower Taipan). Also, I noticed in another thread here you lomacers don't really have the same mission sharing culture we have in the BIS ArmA2 community (where I come from) so just for the record, for everyone, feel free to host any edit/improvement etc. be it one of the missions or the whole pack as a download on a site or as a running server mission under a slightly edited name (or completely new name too haha). There's been a few updates since my first post so anyone that D/L it and just maybe enjoyed it :P should click the link again - never bothered to post about the update since I realized this is not how you guys run things over here. Only minor edits though such as adjusted random levels, less "huge" jpg picture (all in one) replacing both png briefing pictures etc.
  22. co08 Airpower is a series of small/fast conflict missions where destroying a set of enemy assets leads to victory. Currently 3 missions are available: Russia versus Ukraine Russia versus Georgia/Israel/Turkey Russia versus NATO Mission is dual coop by design allowing for 8 players to fight AI opposition, 16 players to go team versus team or a mix there of. Singleplayer is also possible. Enemy assets are located at the three steerpoints so pilots are not supposed to follow this route but rather select one steerpoint and treat that as targetarea (this does NOT apply to CAP flights). Each faction has 4 strike flights, two escort flights and two CAP flights. Player choosing to fly CAP will disable the 2-ship AI CAP. Player choosing to fly Escort will disable the 2-ship AI Sweep. AI Strike flights will activate on random basis. Download from my slow server Multiplayer score system seems to not trigger at all times so occasionally one has to manually decide if a side reached victory. Missionmap example:
  23. As an Falcon4 pilot I need to get into my head one can rearm/refuel like that. In all honesty flying a mission like this it becomes a sort of miniature campaign, not comparing an F4 campaign but a helluva lot more than I used to read into the lomac series (flew 1.02 last but never like this). Keep on rocking BeachAV8R, love your texts :) (and hell yeah! never ever use lables haha)
