DCS crashed in VR using almost 24GB of VRAM on the RTX3090 and can't click on dxdiag ok in "DCS Crash"-Box. dcs.log attached. dcs.log-20210216-012403.zip dcs.log

There is some strange clipping in VR on the super carrier (CVN-73) One 3rd of the left screen in VR is somehow clipped and flickering. Problem can also be seen on the mirrored image on the Desktop. The zoom axis doesn't work in VR. Using the UI zoom VR feature causes nausea and therfore isn't a option.

Sounds to me like a duplicate of one of the following two Bugs.

F-14A won't start from carrier, just sitting on CAT 1&2. Changing to F-14B solves the Problem. Track track and miz are attached. F14A-no_start.miz F14A-no_start.trk

Because it's not a solution, only a workaround. Turning of safety features of your PC isn't something people should do if they don't now about the risks.

Same Problem here on my sons rig( see attached autoupdate_log.txt). Hi, I'm having very annoying artefacts on clouds, but only on the right lense in VR. System setting are moderate (see picture attached), so performance shouldn't be an issue on this rig. OS, drivers and BIOS are all latest stable versions as of today (19.12.2020) I did a video recorded with my phone thru the right lense of the VR glasses. Mission and track file are also attached. Why aren't there 3 simple DLC lists for Maps/Extensions (like Compined Arms), Vehicles (Aircraft, Helicopters,...) and Campaigns in the DCS Steam shop ? It's a mess to find the right DLCs. Sorting these DLCs into categories would make buying DLCs so much easier and can't need much effort to do so.

Veni, vidi, vici HP mailed me that my Reverb G2 should arrive next monday, so i just bought a 3090 and a 5950x today. Shipping for the 3090 is announced for the end of the week, for the 5950x i don't have a shipping date yet. Until the 5950x arrives i'll overclock the watercooled Ryzen 3100 to gain some speed. So the rig is/will be: - MSI x570 Unify - AMD Ryzen 3100 ( to be replaced with Ryzen 5950x, shipping date unknown ) - G.Skill 128 GB DDR4-3200 - EVGA GTX960 4GB OC SSC ( to be replaced by the weekend with a MSI RTX3090 Ventus 3x OC 24GB DDR6X) - Samsung 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 1TB SSD - LG 43 UN700-B - ( HP Reverb G2 by next monday)

Replacing the F-14B with F-18C Lot 20 solves the lockup ... so it seems the bug is somwhere with the F-14B interacting with the carrier.

Some aircraft on the carrier won't start. I build a mission that reliably reproduced this bug. Attached are the track, the log and the mission file, also two screenshots one how the carrier looked initialy and on which aircraft got stuck and won't start. Hi, as the shipment of my HP Reverb G2 ist getting closer and AMD, Intel and NVidia came up with all their new stuff i think it's time for me to build a new rig. I'm quite sure i'm going with AMD on the CPU, but i'm still thinking about the GPU. My thoughts about the GPU at the moment are the following: The 2 displays of the Reverb G2 with 2160 x 2160 each might be hungry at VRAM and from my experience DCS likes a good chunk of VRAM for textures too. The RX 6800 XT will comes with 16GB while the RTX 3080 only comes with 10GB and AMD offers memory sharing between the CPU and the GPU which might enable something like tranparently swapping VRAM by the driver to the RAM in the future. Are these assumptions allright or did i miss something or get something wrong ? Regards Buzzer

If cat 1 & 2 are blocked, there ist no start from cat 3 & 4 during the blockade. Once the obstacle is gone (CH-53E) there are still no starts from cat 1-4 ... See images attached.

Solved by deinstalling and reinstalling DCS ... 60 something GB took some time but it was worth it ....

First approach to land on a carrier and it worked out :-) How can i get a refuel and a repair on board the George Washington for my Su-33 ?
