  1. I do not so much agree with the radar elevation marker, but strongly agree with a binding to set elevation to the center..   3. But to be honest it does not really matter, you have to memorize what a switch does, how it looks and where it is anyways.. Not much of a difference if the label next to it says "on" or "till" if you have to read all the labels until you find what you need you are screwed anyways.   4. Hello pilots, I just played on the 104th Phoenix Server, and tried to do an anti ship attack using the x15s, and followed this tutorial step by step. Sadly it was impossible to select the bx-8 waypoint for the missile, the destination indicator didn't change like it does in the video, and I was not able to fire the missile. I tried the same again after dying, still no joy. Then went into the editor to test the procedure, and it worked. The problem would be somewhere with how the server handles these waypoints I assume.
  5. are there news on this issue? i got really confused lately after going from huey to blackshark2, and then back to the huey.. in blackshark i use trim and reset trim quite often, but in the huey the reset doesn't work which sometimes leaves me puzzled :)
  6. I just installed Migos Shkval Mod but it does not work if it's put into the folder it should be, at least according to the zip file folder structure. Instead the bmp must be renamed to SHKVAL_MASK.bmp and put here: \DCS World\_MODS\skhval\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Resources\IndicationTextures\ have fun :)

What some people might dislike about the "loss of control" or whatever, is probably just lag on an online server.. i absolutely trust the developers and especially their testers, that they try and give us an as accurate and well thought simulation of how the thing feels in real life as they can, for us ppl sitting infront of a screen. personally I like the FM, it's challenging, but it is possible to get on top of it with practice, which I find awesome! (I never flew a real helicopter though) what I sometimes encountered on the virtual aerobatics server, is that when you fly and land alone, the ETL transitions is easier to do: when performing it with other hueys around, it sometimes is harder to get a smooth transition to hover... last time I observed that this must actually have been rubber banding; the heli was wabbling around quite a lot..so the problem is rather on the other helicopters dust effects, and probably passing-by plane's smoke effects and stuff like that... not the actual flight model in my opinion:)
  8. :thumbup:;) I talked to a real life ex huey pilot from the German Airforce last week on the virtual aerobatics teamspeak, he flew the the german version UH1D(which a look on wikipedia brought up is using the same turbine as the UH1H), and he said it felt pretty damn close to the real flight thing, just obviously missing the seat on one's pants feeling and details like " 5 - Between 60 and 100 kts, you can maintain 0° pitch, with stable airspeed and stable altitude" - he was really annoyed by that when we flew formation together...because he always was too slow, must have maintained pitch like he was used to from the real thing... and he was really confused when i talked about vortex ring state when I crashed once, and said he saw me crash and it was just my mistake, settling with power being the issue.. keep it up sundowner, and everyone relax a bit...belsimtek are doing their best, and so are the testers...:music_whistling: have a good day everyone:)

  10. I have 3 things on my wishlist: the ability to assign the flexible sight to a controller axis, so that i can make faster adjustments as pilot. ( i mean as copilot i can move the miniguns faster with the trackIR than I can as Pilot) I dont know, but it seems that every single random AK shot that hits me destroys the flexible sight..and that's a shame in my opinion... is this thing really that easy to disable? I guess it should be easier to injure the pilot when hitting the cockpit than hitting the sight... other players can't see where my searchlight is pointing...just takes away from the atmosphere when its dark and all the hueys have searchlights pointing to the ground where they can't even see the illuminated area ;):thumbup::smartass:
  11. I just finished the campaign, and the worst thing about it is that it ended :)) I really enjoyed it so much! Especially the missions like medevac or when you deliver goods to checkpoints, just such a great feeling altogether.. I would love to have more of these í call it "usual business" mission, perhaps as additional flights after the last mission, when everything calms down :) Really great job with the campaign!
  12. well, you can't please all the people all the time, but this patch really pleased a lot of people I think:) ED, don't worry:) don't get me wrong, I din't want to sound like an unpleased child when I wrote about the thing with the short cannon bursts:) In fact, it doesn't matter, because I can make slightly longer bursts, and everything is fine:) @funkee dude: it's a desktop simulator, so it is about realism:) And the sounds were made in the way they are audible now, and all in all, they are fantastic! So it's playable for you now? that's great! for me it is playable too! That's great too. What more did you expect? Maybe you should reconsider your expectations!
  13. I think the same way as chip does! First of all, the patch really is a fantastic improvement, and I am really grateful to see it being out now. About the sounds: like chip, I would just love it to be realistic: if you don't hear a flare launch, that's fine for me. If you almost can't hear vikhr launches, that's fine for me too. The only problems that I encountered are the stuttering cannon sound when you fire very short bursts(like1-2 shots), when you just slightly touch the trigger(hope that is understandable, sry for my english:P ). [i also found out that when you gain height with a lot of collective(close to 100%), the sound is slightly strange. It sounds like as if several sound layers or loops get overlayed in a way that's somehow wrong. It's really hard for me to describe, thus I'm going to make a video to show it;) ] the last can be dropped, it's not audible on tape, I think I'm somehow making it up, maybe due to the sound of the rpm warning light. Nevermind:) I'm uploading a short video to youtube at the moment, which displays the cannon sound when you fire very short bursts. here we are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8ogyMSn9Sw and btw.: if the cannon can't be fired in such short bursts irl, so please forget this video and the slighly buggy sound, and just tell us to fire longer bursts:)
  14. Hopefully that is also implemented in the next patch. That would be absolutely mind-blowing imho.
