  3. This is hard to answer. I have always did the full install. I found for some reason I had problems with all the patches. But this time I had problems with the full install. Before doing any update, I always make a backup copy of the saved game and main folder. I did the full install and A-10 would launch, but when I selected a mission in just a few seconds the game would crash. So I deleted my install and replaced it with a copy of the backup and used the patch. Games works great, no problems.

  5. Tailspin I have started your Stick setup and have found a cure for your problem. One gripe: the removable plug I found (YMMV) has a recessed lip so there's a 1/16" gap between the ABS plug and the base of the joystick. If I can find thick 4" o-ring it will solve that problem. Find a old mouse pad and by using the base of the stick, cut out a filler plug and place it between the stick and the cap. Thanks for your ideas.

  7. REL nice effect with the rain drops. That would be cool while doing a engine start or a slow taxi. But you would need to make is run back of the sides of the canopy during flight and a fast taxi.
  8. I would like to see a radio call for Emergency Landings to the ATC. It's not a good sign when you are inbound with wing damage and leaking fuel and call inbound and when you arrive at the field you see planes stacked in a line on final. In the old Jane's F/A-18 you called requesting emergency landing instructions and they put you in the head of the line. Also a call for requesting SAR when a plane is shot down. The sim would send out a SAR bird to collect you if you was in range or return your call stating a SAR was not available. Sometimes its the little things that make things happen.
  9. Thank you both, I thought I had it worked out. I was thinking along the same lines as the both of you, but the problem was....I was to close to the target area and it was tripping on me. Once I moved my plane a greater distance from the range, all was fine. Thank You.

I have been trying to create a Hard Deck for a training mission that would allow a player to takeoff from a support base and fly into a training range for High altitude bombing practice, then return to the base. I have tried triggers, flags and combination of both with no success. Here is what I am trying to achieve. Takeoff alt. 0 Climb above 14000 ft. Hard Deck 8000 ft. in target zone Bomb targets in target zone without going below 8000 ft and if you do go below 8000 ft a message telling you that you have violated the 8000 ft hard deck and to RTB Return to base and land The bottom line is the only time I want the message to show is when you are in the Hard Deck Zone. Any ideas on a solution. Thanks

  12. Oh man I loved the Master Pilot. I just did a quick review of my flight sim holdings and found a copy of qs 5601, the software for programing the master pilot. Just PM me a addy and I'll email it right out. It's only 977kb zipped.

  14. ClearDark a quick question. For some reason when I access the notepad/Diagrams on my second monitor, my game will drop to the task bar. Any ideas.

  16. I have been playing with the mission editor and have found the ground troops. The one thing I cant find is "Ground Crew". It would be nice to have them in the editor so that you can populate the airfield and ramp area's with them. Both static and movable.
  17. It makes a flight sim a FLIGHT SIM and not a game.
  18. Is there a view so you can see the whole NMSP (Navigation Mode Select Panel) and the TISL panel (bottom of the center front dash) or a way to make the control stick invisible. Thanks :helpsmilie:
  19. Ran a test on deactivating aircraft. Well you can do it, but all the player has to do is drop out to the lobby and select the aircraft again and bam he is back with the same aircraft. Kills the immersion in the game. You speed hours building it so the team has to work together to complete a mission or not. Not so a pilot can jump back for forth killing all the enemy aircraft one on one to complete it. The games needs a option for Dead is Dead. Such as a selectable option for the mission or a Dead is Dead trigger. Just my 2 cents worth.
  20. Thanks...I will start the test mission for deactivating aircraft. I would be nice if we had a forum for mission makers. It would make searching for answers a lot faster and a place for mission makers to pass on there findings.
  21. I would like to see a dedicated message in mp. Such as a action Message Dedicated. This would let you place your message in the block and then select which aircraft would receive it. That way you could have a specific message show only for the aircraft you selected in MP missions. Also it would be nice to have a way for mission builders to lock a mission so once a player in MP is shot down he can not just pop out of the mission and take a new or same plane and start over. This way a builder can make the mission Dead is Dead. Some times the respawn in mission or the pop out and in kills the time you spent in making a mission to be challenging to how fast people can get back in the game and complete it.
  22. Is there a way to have a trigger in a mission that only allows on player to see a message. The reason for the question is I have a mp mission that I would like each aircraft to have its own trigger to report when it enters an area. The problem is when it enters the area every plane gets the message, so within a few minutes you get like 10 message on a/c information. Just on each a/c to get its own info. Also is there a way to have a trigger delete itself after tripping. Such as once it trips have it activate another trigger that notes it condition as tripped and deletes it. I won't even bring up "Dead is Dead" yet....lol :helpsmilie:
