So I know back in the 90s during Desert Storm Viper Pilots had to periodically correct for INS drift using known land marks : “A good INS is a bomber pilot’s best friend and is often the determining factor in successful target acquisition. But a typical INS has a drift (error) rate of approximately fifty feet per minute. To overcome this drift, pilots try to pick coordinates that coincide with identifiable landmarks, such as road intersections, mountain peaks, dams, and bridges. Once an F-16 pilot takes off and begins his low-level, he uses his map to crosscheck the different steerpoints programmed into his INS. If everything is correct, a diamond appears in the head-up display directly over the landmark. If the INS has drifted, however, the pilot can update it by performing a fix or by slewing the diamond back over the landmark with the cursor/enable switch on his throttle. This exercise is repeated at each steerpoint until the pilot reaches the target. GPS eliminates the need for this corrective work. The signals transmitted by orbiting satellites update an aircraft’s INS every two seconds, ensuring that the diamond in the head-up display will be directly over each steerpoint and, most important, over the target.” Excerpt From: Keith Rosenkranz. “Vipers in the Storm: Diary of a Gulf War Fighter Pilot.” Apple Books. https://books.apple.com/us/book/vipers-in-the-storm-diary-of-a-gulf-war-fighter-pilot/id530050272 We have GPS so it should be correcting automatically, so this is probably due to the STP Bug.

Hey everyone, I am struggling employing the Mavs, does anyone have a checklist for them? I would like to place it in my kneeboard so I can refer to it in VR. Thank you!

Hey everyone. I was flying on a MP server last night over syria and performing DEAD on an SA-3 site. Trying to acquire the site on the TGP the TGP image in the MFD was almost impossible to see, It was either too dark or to bright, even manually adjusting the gain. It also seemed very grainy. I fly in VR and and have Culling enabled is this the issue? I also noticed the the Cockpit flood light would only render in the right eye. Is all of this because of the culling? Any one have a similar experience? For Reference: HP Reverb, 3080 Fe, 32gb ram, i7-9700k @ 5ghz, 1tb NVME at 3500mb/s

+1 this happened to me twice this week. So even though FCR shows as off with weight on the wheels, we should leave it off until TO? -

F16 Possible Bug Avionics Failing Hello All, I am having this issue on Multiplayer servers, after starting the viper from a cold start. Sometimes when taxing to the runway and holding short for the rest of my wingmen to form up and be ready. I will get an elec system fault on the viper and INS fails, ADI goes to back up, TACAN goes off. Battery switch is still set to main I haven't touched anything. One time I switched from CAT 1 to 3 and I thought that caused it but haven't been able to reproduce. This happens on the ground after several minutes of sitting idle. Anyone encounter something similar? -
After you notice this change, when you CZ (cursor zero) it do the values on the EHSI return to the original values?

Myself and various others from my squadron have experienced this issue. Has ED marked this as a bug? -
THANK YOU! Hey there thank you!!! This resolved my issue, also I think the other mistake I was making was I added the code to the top of the file, I moved it to the end of the file and voila!

Hey There I did this and the RWR worked, but the DED did not. I followed your instructions to the letter. Did I miss something?

Hey everyone, Is it possible to export the DED and RWR? I was able to export the two MFDs and the EHSI but was hoping to do the other two as well. Can anyone shine some light on the subject for me? Many thanks!

Hey everyone, I was flying one of the single player missions on the Caucuses. The name escapes me but you're performing a strike on some airfield fuel tanks. So the bug I encountered was I was heading out of the strike area, with 5000 lbs total, about 4000lbs in the external wing tanks. Some enemy Mig 29s are on their way to intercept us so I take the offensive posture and prepare to engage. As I attain a lock with an AIM-120c my Engine Dies. I still am showing 4000 lbs of fuel. I try and restart the engine, make sure the fuel feed is good and the engine starts to restart but dies again. I double check the fuel qty and im still showing the 4000lbs. Is this a bug, or did I do something wrong?

Triple Screen Set up for the Viper Recommendations.
CypherBlue replied to CypherBlue's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Update everyone* Thanks for all the suggestions and commentary. For now Monitors are the way to go until VR can achieve the same fidelity and FOV. I'll keep my eye on the HP Reverb 2, may be worth looking into. So I was able to modify the default 3 screen.lua file to output to my 3 27" GSync Monitors and then use my 29" Ultrawide underneath to display the Viper's MFDs and EHSI. Anyone know how to export the RWR or DED? Or any other cool ideas to fill up the extra space I have? If anyone wants a copy of my .lua file for this config please reach out, I would like to make it easier for people to find the information that took me quite some time to gather from various places. Here is a pic of my set up: -
Triple Screen Set up for the Viper Recommendations.

Hey @ HayMak3r, Sorry if I came across rudely, just frustrated trying to get this set up correctly. Been digging around a lot. I honestly love the immersiveness of VR but not even able to read the gauges from the cockpit without having to zoom in or move was disappointing. Even for items that should be large enough to read from a distance. In a couple of years I will probably give it a try again, but I am definitely upgrading to a 3080Ti when the are announced so I have the power for it. I do in fact use a TrackIR and feel with the multi monitor set up properly I will thoroughly enjoy it. I even use a 4th screen to export the MFDs and EHSI larger so I can see critical information faster. I use my MFD panels on the screen to create more immersiveness. There is more than one way to skin a cat, people use many different systems to play the game their way, VR, monitors, Streamdecks, HELIOS etc. The versatility is awesome. I feel if a few more tweaks to the game would make it impeccable. It just difficult to get a clear cut answer, on how to do certain things that others have been doing for a long time, I.E. MultiMonitor Setups, VR optimization, etc. -
Triple Screen Set up for the Viper Recommendations.

Literally not even relevant to the initial question. Secondly, I used to run an Oculus Rift S but sold it because the image quality and resolution is poor. There is not a headset on the market and probably won't be for the next few years with the fidelity of quality gaming monitors. My rig: Intel i7 8700K @5Ghz, 32GB DDR4 2700, Nvidia RTX 2080Ti, 1TB total RAID 0 Dual SanDisk 500Gb SSDs. 1TB WD HDD, TM Warthog, TM Pedals, Dell GSYNC 27" x3 1 LG 29" Ultra-wide. TM MFDs, StreamDeck XL -
Hey everyone, anyone here flying the viper with three screens? If so are you using a 3 viewport configuration or a single viewport? Which produces the least distortion? I just upgraded to a triple monitor set up and want to get the best result. Any help is greatly appreciated. Note they are all the same monitor, 2560x1440 x3 27"

So I think I can help, I have a similar set up as yours. I have been scouring the forums and /r/hoggit to find answers. I have a triple monitor set up on top 3x27" 7620x1440p Underneath the middle monitor I have a 29" Ultrawide. 2560x1080 I set the top three as one viewport, and use the lower monitor as an area to export my MFDs and ESHI. I have the GUI constrained to the top 3 monitors, but I think you could configure it to set it constrained to the bottom one. Look at this section in my .lua file : Just add this to the views.lua and constrain it to the location of the bottom monitor. Also ensure that the game Resolution encompasses the combined resolution of all monitors. I hope I am making sense.
